Welcome to the proposed tourism hub near the magnificent Ramappa Temple in Warangal!

Nestled amidst the historical splendor of the Ramappa Temple, our tourism hub promises a captivating experience for travelers. As a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site, the temple will serve as the centerpiece, offering a mesmerizing glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of the region.

To create a holistic cultural experience, the tourism hub will offer visitors opportunities to engage with the local community and immerse themselves in its traditions.

The proposed tourism hub near the Ramappa Temple will revitalize and regenerate the historical significance of this 13th-century architectural marvel. By immersing visitors in the temple's intricate carvings and detailed sculptures, the hub will breathe new life into its cultural heritage. appreciation for the region's history and artistic brilliance.

CONTEXT

Location :Telangana State, Mulugu District.

The temple is located amidst of an agricultural field which was once an important town Palampet during the Kakatiya period. Temples were constructed on sites which satisfy the canons of beauty, religious sanctity, convenience and architectural stability. It is located about radially north-east of Warangal, the then capital Orugallu. The temple is strategically located on the foothills of the reserve forest with the Ramappa Cheruvu on the south of the hill. The temple was once an important city-Palampet during the Kakatiya period.

Nandi is the vahana (vehicle) of Lord Shiva in Hindu mythology. It is represented as a bull and is often depicted in a sitting position near the entrance of many Shiva temples, facing the garbhagriha.Temple garbhagriha looking to the half standing nandi that is the major core space of tourism hub and this space surrounded by dancing women’s sculptures. This is the space for welcoming part of tourists
