The proposed tourism hub near the Ramappa Temple will revitalize and regenerate the historical significance of this 13th-century architectural marvel. CONTEXT
Location :Telangana State, Mulugu District.
The temple is located amidst of an agricultural field which was once an important town Palampet during the Kakatiya period. Temples were constructed on sites which satisfy the canons of beauty, religious sanctity, convenience and architectural stability. It is located about radially north-east of Warangal, the then capital Orugallu. The temple is strategically located on the foothills of the reserve forest with the Ramappa Cheruvu on the south of the hill. The temple was once an important city-Palampet during the Kakatiya period.
