ABOUT MORETON BAY PRIDEFEST

Moreton Bay PrideFest is a celebration of diversity, love, and community, bringing together LGBTQIA+ individuals and allies from across South East Queensland. Set against the scenic backdrop of Pine Rivers Park in Strathpine, this annual festival fosters connection, joy, and inclusivity. With a growing following, PrideFest now in its 3rd year, is becoming one of the Moreton Bay’s signature events, showcasing local talent, community groups, and international acts.

The event is proudly delivered by Moreton Bay Region Industry & Tourism (MBRIT) and supported by the City of Moreton Bay, along with other dedicated corporate partners. Their collective commitment strengthens PrideFest’s role as a meaningful platform for visibility, acceptance, and unity within the community.

LOVE FROM THE FESTIVAL

Wow. What an amazing Pride/Day. You should all be very proud of Saturday. I was walking around when I got there and seeing everyone's smiling faces, and stalls being inundated with people, queer families and children. It was so beautiful to see and for me that's why I keep investing my time and effort into this community and work. It made a difference when I was coming out to be able to have access to events like this. Obviously making it financially sustainable and creating profit is always a priority and I hope this investment is starting to come to life.

When you're ready to have a debrief let's all get on a call together. There are definitely some changes I would like to make but overall that structure and feel of the event is exactly where it needs to be.

Hi Jess & Team,

Thank you so much for another amazing year of Moreton Bay PrideFest! As you know GALTA/Visit Gay Australia had a NFP/Community booth at the event. I didn't have to manage it this time which was great for me so I could enjoy the full event again in 2024!

3 of the GALTA Directors and 1 Representative manned the stand, and as always they provided a brief on Monday to the rest of the Board on how things went! I thought it would be easy just to share the feedback! More internal, but you can clearly see MBPF was one of the best we attend nationally and that is a true testament to all involved.

What an amazing day last Saturday turned out to be! I don't know what the official attendance numbers were, but it was one of the most successful festivals we have attended in many years. Apart from the non-stop entertainment there were some 40+ booths mostly from community and welfare groups plus a number selling LGBTIQ+ merchandise.

2024 KEY OUTCOMES

The 2024 festival was a landmark event, drawing a large audience and making a substantial impact on the community and economy. Key achievements include: 4,000+ attendees, nearly half of whom travelled from outside the region, contributing to local tourism and hospitality.

20+ community groups participated, strengthening PrideFest's role as a hub for connection and support.

Entertainment Highlights: The Main Stage featured renowned artists like Samantha Jade and Kween Kong, with diverse acts that engaged and energised the crowd.

Marketing Reach: A multi-channel campaign including social media, influencer partnerships, and billboard advertising boosted regional and interstate awareness, resulting in significant engagement and growth.

Increased Accessibility: Ticket prices were reduced to enhance inclusivity, resulting in doubled ticket sales and overwhelmingly positive feedback.

High Satisfaction and Return Intent: 88.8% of attendees expressed satisfaction with the event, and 91.5% indicated they are likely to return.

These outcomes affirm Moreton Bay PrideFest's appeal and potential for growth, setting a strong foundation for the 2025 event.
