We would like to acknowledge the traditional owners of the lands and waterways of the Moreton Bay Region, the Kabi Kabi/Gubbi Gubbi, Jinibara, and Turrbal people and pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging. We recognise the ongoing connection that Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people have to this land and recognise Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people as the original custodians of this land.
Guided by Country: Earth, Water, Sky
Guided by Country: Earth, Water, Sky was created to honour the legacy of the Jetty2Jetty event, which celebrates not only the spirit of the community but also our deep connection to the lands of the Kabi Kabi people. This piece represents the sacred elements of Country—earth, water, and sky—each intertwined and flowing together in harmony, just as the community moves through the landscape.
As the sun rises over the horizon, we jog connected to the spirit of Country, celebrating health, wellness, and culture. The patterns and pathways in this artwork reflect each participant's journey, grounded by the earth beneath, guided by the water, and uplifted by the sky above. It reminds us of our shared responsibility to honour and protect this land and the First Nations people who have cared for it for thousands of years.
Through this artwork, I aim to inspire participants to feel the land's energy as they run, a physical and spiritual journey, as we all come together as one community, connected by Country.

RACE DAY
Arriving on time
Please be aware that the Clontarf area and surrounding streets of Pelican Park will become congested on race day. We highly recommend allowing additional travel time to the event. This will ensure you have enough time to park and familiarise yourself with the race precinct. We do not want you to be late and miss your race!
Parking
Street parking is available close to the race precinct. Please consider local residents when parking and be sure to observe all no parking zones as traffic enforcement will be present on the day. Ensure you do not park across driveways, as you’ll be at risk of being towed. Please note there is no onsite parking at Pelican Park at all (with the exception of those with accessible permits and those who secured onsite parking permits).
Race bib
Your race bib contains your Electronic Timing Chip which is located on the back of your race bib. The chip must remain on your bib during the entire race and does NOT need to be handed in after you complete the race. Your race bib must be pinned to the front of your shirt and must not be covered in order to register a time.
Baggage
A complimentary baggage tent is available in the event precinct (Pelican Park) to leave your personal belongings. Only small bags will be accepted. We highly recommend leaving any valuables at home. We accept no liability for property left in the baggage area. Please make sure that your baggage tag (located at the bottom of your Race Bib) has been affixed to your baggage PRIOR to your arrival at the baggage tent.
LVL UP Water Stops
Water and Electrolyte stops are located on course at approximately 2km intervals. All water stop locations are noted on the course maps at www.j2j.com.au. Please note water stops are grab and go only. Once you have collected your cup, please continue along the course to avoid congestion at the tables and throw your cup in the bins provided. Red Bull will also be available at the Margate station. Our friends at LVL Up have provided electrolytes for every stop. Their product hydrates you faster than water.
