Virginia 10 Miler

The Genworth Virginia 10 Miler held its first race in 1974. The events’ growth over the years has been an exciting journey, as we have watched participants challenge themselves, families grow closer, the running community become stronger, and so many runners reach milestones they once only dreamed of. The Genworth Virginia 10 Miler has had the privilege of hosting many elite runners over the years, including Bill Rogers, Frank Shorter, Rod Dixon, and Joan Benoit Samuelson. Since 2007, stewardship of the The Genworth Virginia 10 Miler has been held by the Lynchburg Road Runners Club, a proud member of the Road Runners Club of America. The Lynchburg Road Runners Club has been promoting fitness through running for over 30 years in the Lynchburg community. Click here for more info.
