Club Aston Martin France : Vive la présidente!
L
a jolie DB4 vert tendre de Florence Leriche-Picard est désormais le nouveau vaisseau-amiral du « CAMF ». Cette « lady driver », est devenue présidente du club tricolore, à l’issue l’assemblée générale tenue en mars lors d’un déjeuner gastronomique chez Apicius. Micha Lachtiger devient président d’honneur en charge de l’exécutif. Il a déjà annoncé quelques sorties à venir, tel le fameux « dîner tunnel » - dont nous reparlerons - et un rallye vers Honfleur en septembre. Yves Brenier est vice-président,
Claude Chameroy trésorier. Trois secrétaires généraux les épaulent: Pierre Courtin, Jean-Marie Cousty, Guy Zarka. Yves Duclos-Grenet, qui présida le « CAMF » durant quelque dix-huit ans, est désormais Président d’Honneur en charge des relations extérieures. « Virages » adresse ses félicitations à la nouvelle présidente et aux membres du Bureau.
Club Aston Martin France: Three cheers for the Chairwoman! «CAMF» has a new flagship – the pretty, soft green DB4 belonging to Florence Leriche-Picard. A few weeks ago, this lady driver took over the chairmanship of the French club, following changes to the Board after the March general meeting, which took place after a gourmet lunch at Apicius. Micha Lachtiger is now Honorary Chairman with responsibility for the executive committee. He has already announced some wonderful events and outings for the near future, such as July’s famous «tunnel dinner» - of which more later ...and a rally to Honfleur in September. These two are accompanied by Yves Brenier with the role of Vice-chairman, while Claude Chameroy takes on the duties of Treasurer. They are supported by three General Secretaries: Pierre Courtin, Jean-Marie Cousty, and Guy Zarka. Yves Duclos-Grenet, who was chairman of «CAMF» for some eighteen years, is now Honorary Chairman in charge of external relations. «Virages» would like to offer its congratulations to the new Chairwoman and Board members.

ue faisaient donc ces Aston Martin impeccables, dont l’étonnant roadster DB4 de Jean-Christophe Marchand, voisinant avec la stupéfiante Lamborghini Flying Star, sur l’île de la Jatte dans la chaleur sèche d’un soir de juin? À l’initiative de Jean-Marie Cousty, les membres du « CAMF » se sont réunis pour parler style autour de Jean-Pierre Ploué, directeur du Style de PSA et de Vincent Besson, directeur du Plan Produits Citroën. Surprise : les deux responsables PSA roulent dans le privé en... Aston Martin ! Ploué, le père de la Twingo, a commenté le récent concept-car Citroën Hypnos, dont les deux ouïes verticales, de part et d’autre du masque avant, rappellent celles de One-77. Rappellent ? Non : préfigurent. Ce coup de crayon est dû au même designer, un ancien de l’équipe de Jean-Pierre Ploué ayant désormais rejoint le bureau de style Aston dirigé par Marek Reichman. Une affaire de styles (comme aurait dit Agatha Christie)…
Club Aston Martin France’s summer dinner: questions of style So what did these immaculate Aston Martins, including Jean-Christophe Marchand’s incredible DB4 roadster, which rubbed shoulders with the stunning Lamborghini Flying Star, actually do on the île de la Jatte in the dry heat of a June evening? On the initiative of Jean-Marie Cousty, «CAMF» members had a discussion on style led by Jean-Pierre Ploué, PSA Style director, and Vincent Besson, Citroën Products Plan director. These two designers, who share a passion for cars and a flawless erudition on the

history of makes and cars, gave detailed answers to questions on renewing the lines of French manufacturers. The evening was marked by two surprises. In private life, the two PSA chiefs drive... Aston Martins! And the creator of the Twingo captivated his audience by showing them brochures on the concept car Citroën Hypnos, with its two vertical gills on the front, recalling the Gaydon One-77 project which carried off the Top Design Award at the Villa d’este Concorso d’Eleganza this spring. Recalling? It would be more appropriate to say foreshadowing. This design is from the pen of the same designer, a former member of the Jean-Pierre Ploué team, who has now joined the Aston Martin style council led by Marek Reichmann.
