Pilates Reformer classes are fee-based. Register up to a week in advance via the Village App or by calling the Welcome Desk.

The MYZONE® system will be used in class. Although not required, participants are encouraged to have a MYZONE belt.

- Members must sign up for classes via the Village app (sign-up available 25 hours prior to class time)

- Class sign-ups will close 30 min prior to when class begins.

- Members may also call the club to sign up for classes.

- Even with a reservation your spot is surrendered 5 minutes before the start of class.

- Limited occupancy requirements per class.

- Members are encouraged to bring their own mat.

- Mats will not be availble for hot yoga classes. Please bring your own.

- Members are encouraged to wash/sanitize hands and equipment used before and after working out, as needed.

CLASS INTENSITY RATING SYSTEM

While it is important to remember that all classes can be modified to meet most levels of fitness, the following scale should be used to help guide you in choosing classes appropriately. All classes have been assigned one to four hearts. More hearts means the class offers a stronger intensity level, cardiovascular workout, more advanced techniques, and/or a greater level of challenge. Consider balancing your workout each week by including a variety of different class types and intensity levels.

AQUA BOOT CAMP **

Take your water workout to the next level with Cardio Interval Training! This ampedup aqua class includes challenging resistance and core work.

BOOT CAMP ***

A fun, challenging combination of cardiovascular drills and resistance training. A variety of equipment, props, drills, calisthenics, and more will be used throughout this workout.

BRAINS, BALANCE, BODY CIRCUIT *

Functional fitness for the real adult. This class incorporates the perfect blend of movement to improve cognitive health, sharpen the brain, improve balance, proprioception, posture, leg strength, and flexibility. A wide variety of equipment will be used in a fun circuit training environment.

CARDIO MUSCLE ***

A challenging total body workout that combines the perfect heart-pumping cardio and strength training. The format and the equipment used will change each class for calorie burn, muscle confusion, and to prevent boredom. Be prepared for agility drills, plyometric, core, and overall muscle conditioning.

CARDIO MUSCLE BLAST ***

This 45 minute challenging total body workout that combines the perfect heart pumping cardio and strength

training. The format and the equipment used will change each class for calorie burn, muscle confusion and to prevent boredom. Be prepared for agility drills, plyometrics, core, and overall muscle conditioning.

CYCLE ***

Our unique bike pedals feature SPD style cleat entry on one side, Look Delta cleat entry on the other side, with attachable platforms for riders using sneakers.

DANCE FUSION **

This class will include a variety of dances such as today’s pop, hip hop, oldies, Broadway, burlesque, and many types of Latin rhythms.

HEALTHY FEET *

30 minutes dedicated to the health of your feet and lower legs with selfmyofascial release and strengthening. The Yamuna Foot Wakers, Grid® foam rollers, and massage balls will be used to improve your performance and range of motion, and restore optimal function.

HIIT ***

High Intensity Interval Training combining strength, cardio, and core elements. From Tabata- style intervals to basic 30- or 60-second interval splits, you’ll discover your greatest fitness potential as you move in and out of your comfort zone.

KINESIS **

Using the four Kinesis training pods, you will experience a completely different type of cardio and resistance training workout. Classes are limited to 8 people and will be filled on a first come, first served basis. Reservations are required — call the Welcome Desk the day before class to reserve your spot.

MAT PILATES *

This class focuses on developing core strength, flexibility, balance, and stamina in a full body workout. Various props are incorporated to enhance and intensify the workout. No previous Pilates experience is necessary.

MUSCLE **

Maximize your results with this totalbody workout. A variety of resistance tools will be used to develop your muscular strength and endurance. This class will challenge all fitness levels.

ROLL AND RELEASE *

Perform self-myofascial release techniques and static stretches through the use of the Grid foam roller and massage ball to improve your flexibility, performance, reduce injuries, and restore optimal function in this 30-min express class.

STEP AND SCULPT **

A high-energy class incorporating step aerobics choreography and routines, with strength training intervals for a complete workout. This total body sculpting class will build muscle while burning fat! A variety of resistance equipment will be used.

TAI CHI *

A moving meditation in the form of a series of gentle exercises that create harmony between the mind and body.

TRX **

Engage all your muscles with this nonstop TRX workout. Build overall strength, balance, and flexibility with a total-body conditioning program. All Core All The Time! All levels welcome. Reserve your TRX in advance.

VBARRE **

Take your workout to new lengths fusing the precise movements of yoga, Pilates, and ballet barre technique. A variety of props as well as work at the bar will be incorporated in this balanced workout. A fit for many levels, modifications are offered to adjust your workout according to your needs.

ZUMBA **

Latin based dance steps including cha cha, salsa, meringue, and cumbia set to fun, motivating music. All fitness levels are welcome and no dance experience is necessary.

YOGA CLASSES

AERIAL SOUND MEDITATION *

Immerse in a meditative experience with soothing sounds of different healing instruments such as singing bowls, percussion, chimes, tuning forks, during this guided Yoga Nidra class. Yoga Nidra brings an incredible calmness, quietness and clarity. You will be guided into the deepest of all meditations, leading awareness through many levels of mental process to a state of supreme stillness and insight. All levels welcome, no experience necessary. Please arrive at least 5 minutes before class for aerial set up. Shirts with sleeves required, no jewelry allowed.

AERIAL YOGA **

Aerial Yoga is a combination of traditional yoga poses done on the floor, and postures practiced using a soft aerial hammock suspended at waist height. After a warmup sequence, move through creative flow sequences, both in and out of the silks, transition to balance and strength poses, and explore movements through inversions. Class will end with a relaxing savasana where students are invited to float above the ground in the silk. Please arrive at least 5 minutes before class for aerial setup. Shirts with sleeves required. No jewelry allowed.

GENTLE YOGA *

A slow relaxing form of yoga suitable for anyone wishing to maintain and improve flexibility, balance, mobility, and strength. Gentle postures including back and core strengthening exercises are incorporated in this yoga practice. This class is great for beginners or anyone wanting a basic yoga class.

HEATED DEEP STRETCH *

Increase your mobility and flexibility in our gently heated studio set to 90–95 degrees. This class utilizes both active and passive stretching targeting the primary muscles of the spine and hips, including the hamstrings and hip flexors.

HEATED YOGA FLOW ****

A traditional vinyasa, flowing style yoga class that takes place in the hot studio which is heated to around 95 degrees with 20–30% humidity. Each class will be a little bit different, offering a fun yet challenging practice. Previous yoga

experience and excellent health are highly recommended.

HEATED YOGA SCULPT ****

Challenge your body, open your mind, and sculpt your muscles with something new—a Vinyasa flow- style class with the added challenge of light weights used during some sequences throughout class.You will sweat, tone, and experience a rewarding practice in our hot studio which is heated up to 95 degrees. Previous yoga experience and some fitness experience using weights is suggested.

RESTORATIVE YOGA DEEP STRETCH *

Heal and work more deeply into your connective tissue, joints, myofascia, tendons, and ligaments. Focus is on tension removal, building flexibility, and adding strength. Find a release in your body with longer holds and focused breath work.

RESTORATIVE YOGA DEEP STRETCH WITH SOUND HEALING *

Experience soothing sounds of different healing instruments such as singing bowls, percussion, chimes, and turning forks during our Restorative Yoga Deep Stretch class.

VILLAGE HOT YOGA ****

This choreographed, set sequence is the Village’s unique blend of static traditional hot yoga postures, blended with a vinyasa, fluid-style practice. It will be taught the same each class. The room is heated to about 105 degrees with 40–50% humidity. Village Hot Yoga is designed to cleanse your body, challenge your focus and provide you with an intense practice that is a great balance to many other types of workouts. Previous yoga experience and excellent health are highly recommended.

YIN RESTORATIVE YOGA *

Deep stretch poses to help release tight and tense muscles while reducing stress. The practice will focus on long holds in supported postures using props. All levels of students will benefit.

YOGA FLOW ***

A fluid style practice that links yoga postures together with the breath. This class is challenging, but can be enjoyed by students of a wide variety of levels of practice.

PILATES CORNER

The Pilates Studio at Gainey Village is a premiere Pilates studio with some of the best instructors and trainers in the area. In addition to private training sessions, we offer small group classes for a nominal fee. Classes offer the benefit of the reformer equipment, with the fun, spirit and energy that comes from working out in a group. Reservations can be made up to one week in advance on the Village App or by calling the Welcome Desk. Contact Robin Meservey for more information on classes or instructors. 1 class $30, 5 classes $140, 10 classes $250.

- Indoor cycle pedals are compatible with athletic shoes, SPD, or LOOK Delta cycling shoes.

- Studios are climate controlled for the general population. Please dress accordingly.
