We are a local company with four premier Valley locations. The Village is the perfect place to strengthen your body, rejuvenate, relax, and meet others with whom you have so much in common. Each club has approximately 82,000 square feet, providing our members a spacious and comfortable environment in which to achieve their fitness goals. What makes the Village so unique is the people inside of it: we truly care about our members and provide them with the expertise of our highly trained staff. For over 40 years, the Village has focused on helping the community live better and fuller lives with access to premier fitness facilities, dynamic programming, quality instructors, and caring staff. We have the top instructors in the Valley offering a variety of classes from yoga to boot camp. Our personal trainers all hold four-year degrees in exercise science, physiology, or kinesiology. They also hold the best certifications in the world—recognized by IHRSA (International Health, Racquet & Sportsclub Association) in personal training. Our clubs are all about building relationships with our members. We provide quarterly parties and many social activities throughout the year that are included with a membership. I’ve had the privilege of working at the Village for over 40 years. (Yes, that’s four decades). During that time I’ve come to deeply appreciate the power of the healthy lifestyles we create. I’ve seen high school students build fitness habits that helped them grow into thriving, healthy, happy adults. I’ve seen those same adults now share the fun and fitness of the Village with their children. And the healthy cycle continues. I think of the Village, its membership, and its staff as a family. Behind the beautiful facilities, equipment, and cutting-edge programming, you’ll find caring people. It’s a place where you can feel comfortable. I believe the friendly, positive relationships created and strengthened here are the foundation of our success.

The Village is an exciting place. Our clubs are recognized as not only among the best in Arizona, but the best in the country. We set the bar high. Our staff constantly strives to improve our properties, our programs, and your member experience. It’s about providing you with the latest fitness resources and continuing education for our staff. Village Health Clubs and Spas has four Valley locations. Gainey Village is located in Gainey Ranch, off Doubletree Ranch Road near both Scottsdale and Paradise Valley. DC Ranch Village is located off North Thompson Peak Parkway nestled up against McDowell Mountain Ranch. Ocotillo Village occupies a prime lakeside location at the corner of Alma School and Ocotillo roads. Camelback Village is located at 44th Street and Camelback with a stunning view of Camelback Mountain. Group Fitness at the Village Health Clubs and Spas is unlike anywhere else in the Valley. With multiple studios under one roof and professional instructors offering a variety of over a hundred of the best fitness classes a week, you will stay motivated and fit. Our talented instructors make your exercise time more productive and fun. Whether you want an indoor boot camp class, high-intensity indoor cycling, yoga or Barre, we offer plenty of classes to choose from. Living a healthy lifestyle is all about balance, so you don’t get burnt out or injured. We offer a variety of classes at different levels of intensity so you can vary your workouts and benefit from active recovery and cross-training. Mixing up your training by taking cardio, strength and flexibility classes helps you increase full-body fitness.

Some of our most popular classes are: Indoor cycle: An intense cardiovascular workout that closely resembles a ride on the road. Boot camp: A challenging class that combines athletic drills, simulated sports moves, calisthenics, and more. You will use lots of props and burn tons of calories. You can work at your own rate in this class but your coach will motivate you to the max. Zumba: Latin and other exotic international dance rhythms will rock your world. This is a fun, high-energy, fat-burning dance class. Deep stretch: This class will help to increase muscle flexibility and agility, and prevent injury. These deep, intensive stretch therapy techniques allow muscles to release and reach their full length.

Barre: Barre-based classes use a combination of postures inspired by ballet and other disciplines like yoga and Pilates. The barre is used as a prop to balance while doing exercises that focus on isometric strength training (holding your body still while you contract a specific set of muscles) combined with high reps of small-range-of-motion movements. At times this class may incorporate light handheld weights and additional equipment.

yoga Want to increase your flexibility and strength? Come to yoga at the Village. Regular yoga practice is a great way to address common health conditions such as insomnia, lower back pain, stress, or anxiety. In yoga, the challenge is to go slower, find ease, and do less to achieve more. Yes, even in the “power” classes. This doesn’t mean you won’t sweat, build muscle, and burn calories. In reality, being mindful and attentive on the mat is more difficult, and more rewarding, than haphazardly racing through a sequence of poses. Even the most seasoned yogi is still learning and evolving. That’s the beauty of yoga. Approach each class with open eyes, ears, mind, and heart.

Fitness for your mind & body Traditional yoga: The Village offers a variety of yoga classes, from basic to more advanced classes. Our experienced instructors support and guide you through the class with personal attention to ensure proper form. Come to class with an open mind and embrace the opportunity to do something positive for your body and mind. Hot yoga: The postures are performed in a state-of-the-art heated room, with temperatures reaching up to 106 degrees Fahrenheit and added humidity. Hot yoga allows for deeper stretching, more efficient fat burning, and incredible detoxification. Warming the body assists the capillaries in dilating, which increases oxygen flow. Find your inner strength Pilates is designed to help you develop a balanced, healthy body with strong, flexible muscles that promote better posture, steadier balance, and optimal physical and mental well-being. Certified Village Pilates trainers work closely with each individual to provide support and guidance to ensure you follow proper form to strengthen at your own pace. If you are looking for a great cross-training activity to improve your overall fitness, Pilates is just what you need. Pilates’ exercises are famous for building bone density and greatly improving joint health. Pilates is commonly used by athletes looking to improve at tennis, golf, triathlons, and more. The Village offers mat Pilates classes as well as private or small-group Pilates Reformer sessions with a Village trainer.

Personal training excellence at the Village is deeply rooted in a passion for the physical sciences. Village trainers are the most highly educated experts in their field. All Village trainers hold four-year degrees in exercise science, physiology, or kinesiology along with the best personal training certifications in the world, recognized by IHRSA (International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association).

Motivated and trained by the experts. We offer a variety of training options to meet your style and fitness needs 1:1 personal training: Take advantage of private sessions with your personal trainer. This approach to training allows you to focus directly on your needs and individualized structure to stay focused on your desired results. Group training: If you prefer to work out with others with similar interests and goals, one of our many group training classes is just what you need. Building team camaraderie and setting group challenges are great ways to motivate yourself and others to achieve goals. The Village FIT program: A great way to get started in group training, Village FIT (Functional Interval Training) is a progressive program which allows members to advance in the system using circuit training, including weights and cardiovascular machines, with a small group of members with similar fitness interests, abilities, and goals.

With the Kids’ Club at the Village, your day takes on new possibilities. Enjoy a worry-free workout while your children play, learn, and laugh in a world of fun fitness. Our professional staff provide a safe and inspiring place for children of all ages. We offer a multitude of fun, fitness-focused events for your children to enjoy. Kids will have a blast playing in their own space in the club or in many of the kids’ and teens’ classes offered; they’re bound to have as much fun as you do at the Village. A key part of our Kids’ Club philosophy is ensuring your child has a world of opportunities to socialize, with a wide variety of learning environments, so we engage them in art projects, story time readings, and active games. Your child is able to stay with us in the Kids’ Club for up to three hours each day. Our caretakers will keep your child safe and entertained while you enjoy your personal time at the Village. We offer two types of childcare for two separate age groups: a nursery for infants two months old to potty-trained age, and a Kids’ Club environment for children 3 – 12 years old. For the older kids we offer Junior Certification: a training for children ages 11 – 13 on club etiquette, proper use of equipment, and regulations to allow certified youth to use the club without parental supervision. Looking to spend some time together as a family? We have many family-friendly workout areas in the club to encourage the whole family to live healthy and stay active. Your family can play many court sports together like tennis, basketball, racquetball, and squash, or take the kids swimming. The Village is a great place to have birthday parties. It is the perfect way to experience something special with your child and the community of people that celebrate their milestone moments with your family. We’ll help you plan a special day with all of the fun, food, and activities. Just invite your friends and we’ll take care of the rest while you relax and enjoy your child’s birthday!

Kids’ sports, leagues, and teams

Swimming lessons: A comprehensive swim program designed for kids to build from basic survival techniques to endurance. Lessons start at six months, and are based on level of ability. We offer three levels of swim instruction for children. All lessons are designed to maximize your child’s survival skills and learn the basic elements of all four swim strokes based upon individual skills.

Swim team: The swim team is a great way for kids to make friends and be part of a team. Kids ages 5 – 15 years will be able to use this aerobic exercise to improve coordination, stroke technique and endurance, all while having fun. These accomplished swimmers can swim at least 15 yards of freestyle/backstroke and have proper stroke technique. Junior basketball league: Junior basketball is available twice a year for Village boys and girls between the ages of 5 and 12. They will have the opportunity to develop their skills through actual play of the game. They will learn the key elements of dribbling, passing, and shooting from our talented coaches. We inspire teamwork, hard work, and fun at every age level.

Junior tennis lessons, camps, and programs

Our experienced, world-class coaching team inspires juniors of all levels to achieve their tennis goals. Our comprehensive junior program includes private and semi-private tennis lessons, match play, and monthly junior social events.

Holiday and summer camps The Village offers a multitude of holiday camps, including Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter Break Camps. Campers will meet new friends and learn a variety of basic sport skills through supervised, age-appropriate instruction and activities. Your child will gain experience in the sports they already love along with exposure to new activities. Each Friday our campers head out for a full day of fun at great venues around the Valley. With options for half-day, full-day, and extended camps. The Village offers fantastic amenities to its members—and also to our campers. With a full basketball court, swimming pools, splash pads, and all the dodgeball they can handle, campers are sure to have a summer to remember.

The Village has designed beautiful pools with pristine water for swimming laps, leisurely swims, and relaxing. If you want to compete, we offer Masters’ Swim Team. We provide private and group lessons for adults and children so everyone can refine their swimming strokes and breathing skills. We keep our pools at a comfortable temperature year-round so you can jump in anytime to get a great workout.

Get in the game For basketball players, the Village offers organized adult pick-up play and professional instruction along with leagues, tournaments, and clinics for men, women, and juniors. Our goal is to keep the game both competitive and good-natured. It’s a great way to enjoy others and get one of the best aerobic workouts possible. Come play on our exceptional courts with professional instructors who care that you’re getting the most from the game.

Trails and travel We host a variety of member hikes and trips throughout the year. This is great way to meet other members and mix up your fitness routine. We have local monthly hikes from beginner to advanced. Our most popular trips are hike to Mt. Kilimanjaro and Village Ski Telluride. We also plan larger trips to places like France and Ireland.

Swim, run, and bike with us Triathlon is one of the fastest-growing sports. The Village offers a range of group workouts for triathletes including Masters’ swim classes, rides, and runs. Traditional group fitness classes the Village offers, such as yoga, Kinesis, cycle, and strength-training, compliment a triathlete’s training regime. The Village has a Team Village group in Chandler and partners with TriScottsdale Tri Club to offer more training options.

Tennis is a social sport that is a great aerobic workout, demanding competitive strategy. With tournaments, leagues, and singles and doubles games, it’s a fantastic way to bond with others, grow a rewarding skill set, and challenge your body.

We have one of the most active tennis clubs in the Valley. It’s a positive, fun, skills-building environment and a great place to meet other tennis players. We have some of the best tennis professionals available to help you get the most out of your tennis game. Developing high skills levels is attainable with our full-spectrum, lessons program. It’s the cornerstone of our philosophy: embrace all skill levels so everyone improves and has a great time. The Village has a variety of ways for you to enjoy lessons: group programs are a great way to meet others and build your skills, or choose private lessons, where you can schedule time with the instructor of your choice. Interested in singles or doubles? We use the N.T.R.P. (National Tennis Rating Program) to match you with players that best suit your playing level. The Village is a friendly and sociable family of tennis players with a wide range of levels from beginner to pro. The Village offers a tennis concierge who will help you find matches or set you up with league or tournament play. We have the best fitness professionals who can offer you exercise tips or create a training program for you to improve your game. Our Village Registered Dietitian can help you with mindful eating, weight loss management, disease prevention, and sports nutrition.
