1 tomato

Few coriander leaves

1 medium size lemon

Cream cheese/sour cream

Sandwich bread

Sriracha sauce

Pepper and salt

PROCESS

- take two slices of bread and apply cream cheese/ sour cream on it ,put sliced tomatoes on one side of the bread -sprinkle coriander and sriracha sauce on it - put pepper and salt as per taste and sqeeze lemon juice on it - put sriracha on the other bread n club both the slices.

- cut into desired shape and enjoy

My parents have taught me many healthy and good habits. My grandfather has told me stories of many achievers and how they are very serious about their health. He sets an example for me by doing exercise even at 75 years age The first habit is to follow a routine for sleep and food. We have to sleep at 8.30 pm and wake up at 6.00 am everyday. We have to eat a healthy fresh breakfast before going to school. We have to read everyday, and we have to eat 1 fruit each day. We have to study everyday for sometime, even in holidays and we have to cycle or walk on weekends. I used to get upset as my friends in the building don’t have these strict rules and get to stay late for parties. But my parents showed me a chart which explains why Early to Bed and Early to Rise makes us healthy, wealthy and wise. They explained how sleep makes our brain and other organs recover and helps when we grow older. My grandmother taught us to say “Karagraha vaste Lakshmi” prayer to get blessings of God 1 st thing in the morning and to say “Ramaskandam Hanumantam” prayer before closing our eyes in the night She explained prayers help us to concentrate and release good chemicals in the body. She also explained to me why eating healthy and at regular times is important for our body. She says we don’t realise it now, but these habits will make us so strong inside that when we grow up and have to travel or work odd times, we will not fall sick. The other habit my parents have taught me is to share. They say we should share whatever we have. My grandmother taught me all things belong to God and we should say “Tera Tujhko Arpan, Kya lage mera”. Giving makes us richer. So I always share my toys, my books, clothes and I also give away many things to others who may need it more. They say that being kind keeps our mind healthy and releases good chemicals in our body. These habits will help me a good person when I grow up.

Recipe 1. Take out some corn from the cob. 2. Boil the corn in water on the gas for 5 mins like below 3. Strain the corn in a bowl to take out the water with a strainer like below 4. cup whole wheat flour
cup Thalipeeth flour (mix of millets and dal flours) or 1/3 cup of besan.
tbsp of curd
tsp of red chilli powder
tsp of haldi powder
tsp jeera powder
crush green chillies (optional) grated ginger
crush/paste of garlic
tbsp of Till seeds
tsp of oil Salt to taste. Mix all the ingredients, and knead a soft dough. Let it rest for 15 min. Divide them into small balls. Roll it out into flat rotis. Heat a tawa. On medium flame, cook the thepla, the same way as one would cook a paratha or chapati with little oil. Serve with Curd and pickle or hot cup of tea. Keshav eats with a cup of milk or takes it in his tiffin box for his breakfast. This is our staple diet. To this same recipe we can add fresh or dry methi leaves. Children or elders who don't like vegetables, can also add grated or pureed carrots, palak, cabbage and beetroot. Thepla can stay outside for one day. “Early to bed and Early to rise makes a man healthy and wise!”Yes, my family does believe in this proverb.

We start our day quite early. After I wake up, I brush my teeth, clean my face,change my clothes and have 2 pieces of soaked almonds.

If it is a holiday, I usually do yoga.with my mother or go out for a morning walk. After almost half an hour, I have my breakfast and milk is one of the common items everyday.

Then I sit and study. I do my homeworks and I like to read new things. I really enjoy making crafts. So, once I'm done with my craft, I usually end up making a mess on my table which I clean as well.

I take a bath everyday. I trim my nails weekly once. I have sufficient water and fruits on a regular basis. And I go for outdoor sports activities. During holidays, my family and I go out to enjoy ourselves. We often play indoor/ outdoor sports together too.

Creating a new daily routine that encourages healthy habits: Lifestyle changes we have made to improve our family’s health

Living a healthy lifestyle is very important.

The changes we have made in order to be healthy are:

1. My mother has turned Vegan from being a vegetarian because plant based products are better for our health and the environment. We need to coexist with all species and not destroy them, as this slowly destroys the planet. Animals raised for agriculture add to global warming by emitting excessive methane which is bad for the planet and contaminates the air we breathe. Plant based foods much healthier and taste great.

2. We do not eat packaged food like maggi, biscuits, chocos and we eat chocolate only once a week.

3. My mother, my sister and I exercise 6 days a week to keep healthy.

4. We have daal at least thrice a week. We also have pulses like Channa, Rajma, Green Moong etc along with a lot of different vegetables to have a balanced diet. These are the ways in which we try to keep healthy and have a great life

My Favorite Healthy snack is Bhel Puri.sometimes when I feel bored and feel hungry I would like to eat this., I prepare this snack by myself and also my whole family likes the way I prepare. I will have lots of fun in doing this.let me explain how to prepare this.

Preparation:

Take some puffed rice, add some carrot, tomato and onion. Next, add some sev, ghee, salt, and chilli powder and mix it well. You can serve it on a bowl and add some coriander on top for decoration. So simple.Thank you

Healthy recipe for Whole wheat banana pancakes

Ingredients:

1 ripe banana

1 egg (optional)

1/4 cup milk

1/2 cup whole wheat flour (atta) 4 tsps brown sugar or jaggery Pinch of cinnamon powder

Butter How to make:

- mash the banana, add sugar and milk and mix in the flour to make a smooth batter. Egg is optional, mix if you have eggs as it has proteins. Add cinnamon powder

- pour batter to make small pancakes on your pan on oil or butter. Cover with lid for 2 mins

- serve with honey or date syrup drizzled on top along with fruits - try variations with choco chips or cocoa powder in the batter :)

Ingredients

Paneer - 300 gms roughly chopped 2 roughly chopped - 6-8 clove ger -1 inch w nuts - 6wder - 1/2 T methi - 1 ts - As per tast r - Optiona love - 2 mon - ½ In damom - 2 - 1 Tbsp - 3 Tsp. ream - 2 Tb ecipe: heat Then add 2 cloves, ½ inch of cinnamon, hopped onions. Sauté make a them for 2-3 minutes till it becomes transparent. Add two roughly chopped tomatoes and sauté for 23 minutes. Then 6-8 cashew nuts and fry for about 1 minute. Add 1 tsp. of salt cook it till the tomatoes are nice and mushy. Turn off the stove and let it cool. Transfer the cooled mixture into a mixer jar and make a fine paste. In the same kadai add 3 tsps. of ghee.to this add ½ tbsp. chilli powder give a quick mix and then immediately add the ground paste And mix Now add ½ tsp of garam masala powder and add 1 tsp of kasoori methi powder And handful of finely chopped coriander leaves Close and cook for ten minutes. Add 2 tbsp of fresh cream add 1 tsp of sugar add 1 /4 cup of water and season it with one tsp of salt. Add 300 grs of panner, cut it into small cubes. Close and cook on low flame for about 10 minutes. Yummy delicious panner butter masala is ready. You can serve with hot rotis or chapatti.

She always tells me to drink lots of water as its keeps my body hydrated and my skin healthy. She gives us fruits and juices I also love broccoli and carrot they are my favorite veggies. Whenever my Dad is free he takes us for a walk, and plays basketball with us and I love it. My Mom says we should eat early and sleep early, as it keeps our body energetic and healthy. In my house my brother and I watch TV or Mobile only on Sundays for 2 hrs. I also keep my bedroom clean as it keeps us away from dust and allergies, so we don’t fall sick. 1.Our daily routine starts with the consumption of Glass of Lukewarm water on empty stomach.

2. Next, we will brush our teeth properly and later we will do flossing on a regular basis.

3.After that we will do exercise for 30 minutes.

4. We will have a good breakfast( balanced diet..)

5.We will stay hydrated frequently.

6. We will do some mid -Afternoon Stretches…And will take time to relax.

7. We will reduce the screen time as much as possible.

8.We will go to bed early to woke up early…

I eat healthy food everyday,like carrots and cucumbers. I keep hygiene by taking a bath everyday and washing my hands when I come home from playing.I exercise everyday by doing jumping jacks, push ups and jogging.I rest a lot to get energy and not get sick. I play many sports to be fit. I eat junk food only a few times. I try to keep a balanced diet by eating variety of foods that give me protein, carbohydrates and fats.I try not to get stressed.

Mouthful of Joy

In a kadai, put 1 tablespoon of ghee. Add 1 cup of suji rawa. Roast the suji for 3-4 minutes and keep aside. In a saucepan, add 2 cups of water. Add 1/2 cup of jaggery to it and bring to a boil. Filter the mixture.

On a slow flame, add the above mixture to the roasted suji slowly while stirring continuously. Continue stirring for 5 minutes. And allow it to cool down.

Serve in a bowl and spread the joy!

One cup curd Two cups of water Mix well

Add grated carrot, finely chopped coriander leaves and onions. To the above mixture add salt , black pepper, oregano and little chilli flakes. Mix well Heat the pan. Add a little ghee and toast the bread from one side , then turn the bread from the other side. Add the mixture on the bread. Add a little ghee and turn the bread upside down . Roast till the mixture becomes golden brown. Remove the bread, cut it into slices and eat with sauce.

Make a chapati with the dough and keep it aside.Take bowl,Break the eggs into it.Put the chopped vegetables , salt& pepper into it.now mix it well and make a omelette with it.Place the omelette on the chapati and spread tomato ketchup on it.Now we came to the last step - roll it to make a roll.Now your ‘yummy frankieis ‘ is ready.

Cook chicken in a pressure cooker. Cut the cooked chicken into cubes and sauté in olive oil along with chopped mushrooms till the mushrooms are cooked and the chicken is golden brown. Add chopped ginger and garlic and sauté for about a minute, pour 2 cups of water add salt and pepper and boil for 5 minutes. Turn off the flame and garnish with spring onions. Add lemon juice while serving

Veer's recipe for healthy sandwich that you can enjoy everyday! Ingredients 2 Slices of Millet bread 4 Tomato slices 4 Onion slices 1 cheese slice 1 TSP butter Salt, pepper and oregano to taste Directions 1.On one slice of bread, lay the 4 Tomato and onion slices. 2. Next sprinkle salt, pepper and oregano to taste. 3. Add a cheese slice on top 4. Cover the cheese with the second bread slice. 5. Press down to hold all the ingredients! (My favorite part!) 6. Next, heat the pan and slightly smear the butter. 7. Place and sandwich cook. Flip over after sometime when cook until both sides of bread turn brown. 8.
