Welcome to a New Season Welcome back and a warm hello from myself and my team here. What a delight it is to be reopening the doors to North Devon’s home of live theatre.

For the little ones we have The Night Pirates and of course our in-house produced spectacular pantomime, Beauty and the Beast. Book early to avoid disappointment!

We start this season with the Barnstaple Music, Comedy and Dramatic Society. A night of laughter awaits all as some very talented members of the community put on a fantastic evening of entertainment.

The Landmark Lounge Bar and Café is now open offering food and drinks at the stunning location in Ilfracombe. Further announcements will be made on the Landmark website over the coming months.

A few highlights include The Real Thing, Justin Hayward, Tap Factory, Heather Small, Whitney Queen of the Night, Psychic Sally, All or Nothing, The Stylistics and of course, the ever popular That’ll Be The Day. One of our biggest highlights this season is a show that needs no introduction, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat.

Starring Joe McElderry in the title role and produced by theatre supremo Bill Kenwright, this will be one not to miss.

I’d also like to take this opportunity to introduce you to our new Theatre Manager, Mark Farley who will be looking after the new venue’s operations.

Rock ’n’ Roll Paradise

In 2017 Rock ’n’ Roll Paradise returns to the UK’s theatres for the 8th successive year but in a new and exciting format. Justin Hayward The Wind of Heaven Tour

Justin Hayward is an English musician, best known as singer, songwriter and guitarist in the rock band The Moody Blues.

He is one of the most prolific singer-songwriters in music, with songs including ‘Nights In White Satin’, ‘Tuesday Afternoon’, ‘Question’, ‘The Voice’, ‘Your Wildest Dreams’ and ‘I Know You’re Out There Somewhere’ to name just a few.

Performing and recording for nearly fifty years with The Moody Blues, during which the group has sold more than 60 million albums, he has been a driving force in the band’s success. His most recent solo album was the well-received “Spirits of the Western Sky”.

Star of 1950s British stage and screen, the legendary Norman Wisdom packed houses across the UK, won the hearts of millions and remains one of the UK’s comedy icons.

The world of post-war Music Hall and Variety embraced his trademark manic slapstick routine and catapulted him to stardom. Vienna Festival Ballet present

Sleeping Beauty A classic fairytale set to Tchaikovsky’s magnificent score, stunning choreography, beautiful costumes all combine to portray the struggle between good and evil.

The wicked Carbosse casts a spell on Princess Aurora proclaiming that she will one day prick her finger - and die. The Lilac Fairy changes the spell, and instead on the fateful day the Princess and the entire Palace fall into a deep sleep. A century later Prince Florimund revives the Princess with a kiss, the Palace awakes and a parade of fairytale characters attend the wedding.

Following the traditional tale of Sleeping Beauty, this ballet is sure to enchant audiences of all ages.
