Service Awards! Take a few moments to read about the significant success over the years. Gifts of appreciation are given out to those years (commemorative diamond ring) and 40 years (Rolex watch).

MIKE RUNION - 30 YEARS SHOP FOREMAN VECELLIO & GROGAN

Michael “Mike” W. Runion began his employment with Beckley Equipment Repair (BER) as a laborer in August 1992. Showing great progress in his skills and abilities, he was quickly promoted to Mechanic’s Helper.

Later, Mike was again promoted, this time to Heavy Equipment Hauler, where he transported equipment to various projects in and around West Virginia always transporting equipment safely and efficiently.

Mike never stopped learning about the business. He became a Certified Flagman, Class A Driver, and Hydraulic Crane Operator over the next few years.

Mike’s leadership abilities were always present in his day-to-day work, and he was later promoted to Assistant Shop Supervisor and, ultimately, Shop Foreman after Dante Castrodale’s retirement.

Mike’s loyalty to the company has been evident over his 30 years, and he is an asset to BER and V&G overall.

JUAN APREA - 20 YEARS TRUCK DRIVER WHITE ROCK QUARRIES

Juan Aprea began working at White Rock Quarries In February 2002. During his first two years as a Groundman, he was dedicated to his work that ensured the Plant system worked efficiently and effectively.

In 2004, Juan seized the opportunity to become a Water Truck Operator. He was responsible for the safety of all equipment operators and drivers by controlling dust conditions that helped maintain good visibility for the crews.

More recently, Juan has transported raw material from the Pit to the Plant. He has driven trucks of increasing capacity as his skills have developed, including Caterpillar 785B and 785D haul trucks. Juan takes great pride in driving his trucks safely while meeting tight scheduling demands and production demands for customers.

STACY BARBER - 20 YEARS CONTRACTS ADMINISTRATOR RANGER CONSTRUCTION

Stacy Barber began her career with Ranger Construction in May 2002, in the Winter Garden, FL office. She started as an Administrative Assistant and quickly excelled in her role.

Due to her many talents and dedication, on December 2, 2002, Stacy received a promotion to Office Clerk where she continued to flourish, prompting her next promotion to Contracts Clerk in 2003. Stacy continued to grow and in October 2005 she was promoted to her current position as Contracts Administrator.

Stacy’s work ethic and contributions to the business have been invaluable. Her managers and teammates describe her as a hard worker and someone who, if needed, would work 7 days a week with no questions asked. Stacy is always dedicated to her work, and loyal to her teammates. She is known for being the first person to arrive at the office and often the last person to leave. The Company commends Stacy for her many years of loyal and dedicated service and looks forward to her contributions in the years to come.

TERRY BASHER - 20 YEARS EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT RANGER CONSTRUCTION

Terry Basher began her career with Ranger Construction as a receptionist in the West Palm Beach office in 1992. After leaving for a short time, Terry came back to Ranger working in the payroll department at the Ft. Pierce office in 2002.

Following that, Terry began supporting both Payroll and Reception. Her hard work, knowledge of the business, and relationships with team members, led her to ultimately being promoted to Executive Assistant for Ranger President, Bob Schafer.

Terry is a critical part of Ranger Construction and, after 20 years, is a highly valued employee at Ranger and for the Vecellio Group as a whole.

JULIAN CAMPOS - 20 YEARS BRIDGE SUPERINTENDENT HAL JONES CONTRACTOR

Julian Campos began his career with Hal Jones Contractor in November 2002 as a skilled laborer. His continued learning and ability to develop onthe-spot techniques to execute challenging job tasks led to promotions of Foreman and then to Superintendent in 2017.

Julian has been instrumental in the success of many projects due to his willingness to travel and work varying schedules required by customers. In his years of service, he has proven to be a valuable member of Hal Jones Contractor team.

ROBERT CRUZ - 20 YEARS PLANT MECHANIC WHITE ROCK QUARRIES

Robert Cruz began his career with White Rock Quarries in July of 2002, starting as a Hammer Man at the Plant. He dedicated himself to his work – observing, gaining experience, and growing with the business. This led him to getting his first promotion at White Rock to Mechanic’s Helper.

Robert continued to work hard and was rewarded again when he was promoted to Cone Crusher Maintenance Mechanic. Over his 20 years he has always appreciated the opportunity to work and grow in the Vecellio Group and is a valued member of the team.

RICHARD CONDE - 20 YEARS TRUCKING MANAGER RANGER CONSTRUCTION

Richard (Richie)

Conde started his career with Ranger in August 2002. Beginning as a Dump Truck Driver, he built his legacy on hard work and continuing to develop his expertise.

Richie was soon promoted to Lowboy Driver, then to Trucking Foreman where he was responsible for coordinating trucks for multiple asphalt crews, covering day and night shifts for three separate plants.

He credits his communication skills, attention to detail, and commitment to safety for his latest promotion to Transportation Manager.

Richie wants all his coworkers to know that, if you’re willing to work hard and always do the right thing, there are many opportunities for growth throughout the business.
