Presentation of a donation of $3,000 from the General Vanier Fund

This past May 18, in support of the Base Valcartier Charity Fund, the General Vanier Fund donated a check for $3,000. During a ceremony held at the Valcartier Spiritual Centre, two representatives of the General Vanier Fund, Chief Warrant Officer Maurice Dessureault (ret), secretary, and Captain Jean-Marc Godin (ret), administrators, donated this sum to the Fondation Général Vanier of the Royal 22e Régiment (named after Georges Vanier, veteran of the two world wars and 19th Governor General of Canada).

The Fondation Général Vanier has supported the Base Valcartier Charity Fund for several years, which helps support the families of members of the Valcartier Defense Team struggling with temporary financial difficulties. Without the help of partners such as the Fondation Général Vanier, the scope of this support would not be able to meet the demand.
