Coach, Tony Macgeorge kicked another swag in a -reat display, well backed up by on-baller duo the Sullivan Bros, plus defenders Gallagher, Johnson, and Tully . :donash almost ran AJAX down in a thrilling last quarter, but even Headers agreed the Jackas would have been stiff to lose . Liam Holloway played a blinder for the Blues in the ruck, at CHB & CHF, and had great support from two U19 plavers, Paul Westbrook, & Ryan Turton. The Jackas had top efforts from Samuel in defence, Davis up forward, on-baller Weisler, & centre Davis .

Bulleen Temp went down to the powerful Ivanhoe Assumption unit after an even 1st term . The Bullants were well served by Glen McLaren in a FP, and CHF, Robbie Williams . The Hoes best were captain Peter Flynn, mid-fielder Shane Simpson, Steve Saunders at FP, and Assumption OB, Dwayne Denby impressed on debut .

Old Geelong lost to St Leos in a close contest Mth the sides taking it in turns to dominate . OGGs let the Parkers break away in the 3rd, and were unable to catch them despite a rattling finish . St Leo's heroes in the crucial 3rd term were Paul Ristevski, Brad Bird, & Brendt Henricus up forward, with excellent support from midfielders, Jason Fennell & Andreiv Burgess : plus strong defence from Greg Rafferty & Adam Krebs in the 4h.

Williamstown CYMS struggled against Uni . Blacks' height, with the latter having top games from Pat Barry at HBF, Luke Nethereote, Mark O'Donnell, Chris Sandford, and captain 'Moose' Mackie .

TODAY Mentone meet Monash in a critical clash at the Southern Rd Reserve, with the Vultures wanting to continue their,,vvming run, and the Ashers to turn their losing streak round . While the visitors' newer players will now be settling into the side it is a big ask for them to challenge the accomplished Vultures 16

North Brunswick started strongly in the firs t quarter with Dave Pizzari in the middle providing plenty of opportunities to the fon'~rards . Eitham managed to claw its way back through some good work by new recruit John Paretta in the ruck and Ben Rashid who kicked two team lifting goals to get writhin a few points however North were able to consolidate in the final quarter to win by 18 points .

The Mt.Lilydale versus Box Hill North match started with a relatively even first half. Mount kicked away after the break through some great work in the engine room by Andy Penhale and Mark Wells who were well supported by big men, Andy Delahunt and `,1<( t Cunningham, For Box Hill North, Tsaclidis, ~1"esion and Velevoski were excellent in defence while Kefflor kicked a bag of six .

In an evenly poised match to half time, St .Mary's played some inspired football in the third quarter .

9destbourne's "Juice" Huntington tried to stop the floodgates opening but with Johnny Carra running amok around the ground and Hilly marking everything that came his way the Saints were able to blow their opposition out of the water kieking eight goals to one for the third quarter and run out eventual 52-point w=inners .
