The Louis Greenspan Children’s Corner The Louis Greenspan Children’s Corner is an exciting and very needed addition to our Day of Sharing. This room is devoted to items for infants to young children and contains basic necessities, which sometimes are beyond the reach for parents in our region. These items are ones that no child should go without, but in times of financial crisis they can become luxuries. The room is stocked with: • hygiene items • new and gently used infant, toddler, and children’s clothes • children’s shoes and socks • toys and other items to help your clients; parents who are struggling to provide for their family

WITH DEEPEST GRATITUDE TO

Senator Sue Serino for ensuring

families in Dutchess and Orange counties continue to have access to basic necessities and to the R.L. Baxter Building Corporation for their contribution to the renovation. September 2019 Who is helped by Day of Sharing? A family of four was sleeping on the ground of their small apartment, with garbage bags covering the windows. Their case manager from one of our community partners came to Day of Sharing with a shopping list. Now the family has curtains on their windows, beds to sleep on, blankets to stay warm and new clothing. The two children are smiling with books to read and toys to play with. Thank you for your support!

Last year more than $200,000 of new goods were distributed to 7,446 families in Dutchess & Orange counties through Day of Sharing. This year , our goal is to distribute $300,000 of goods to 10,000 families who need it most.
