KUNIYASU NO SATO This is a liYle gem in Yoshida-­‐cho, Uwajima and a place were you can experience historical Japan. The beauty of tradiPonal Japanese architecture is noPceable in the details of each building, including a fisherman’s house, a farmer’s house with a thatched roof, a samurai residence, and a rice storage brought here from different parts of Yoshida and rebuilt with care. Inside of each house you will find historical artefacts, like an tansu, kotatsu, hibachi, yoroi, tools for tea ceremony etc. that were used by the buildings inhabitants.

An exhibiPon dedicated to Yoshida’s history and another to the matsuri culture are also worth a visit.

Sit down at the irori, warm your exhausted body, and nourish your soul with the culture that surrounds you here.

"Socrates In Love" You might not know this original Ptle of the famous novel by Katayama Kyoichi, because it b e c a m e f a m o u s u n d e r a n a l t e r n a P v e P t l e . Aa e r t h e adaptaPon into a movie, a tv drama, a manga etc. the book is now known as "Sekai no chushin de, ai wo sakebu" or as "Crying Out Love, In the Center of the World”.
