OLD MŌRI (VILLAGE HEADMAN) RESIDENCE 250 years ago, a 15 year old Mōri Jinzō, become the village headman of this area and over the span of twelve years built this residence. Since that Qme seven generaQons of the Mōri clan lived here and conQnued to support the agricultural development of the community and to pass the culture to the next generaQon. Today, the old Mōri residence with its rural charm and historical value, serves as locaQon for cultural events and gatherings. You can visit the buildings for free and see many different farm equipment used by the local farmers over the centuries.

SEIRYŌ-­‐JINJA SHRINE Born here in Mima, Doi Kiyoyoshi or Doi Seiryō, became a famous military commander during the Sengoku and the Edo period. The Seiryō shrine, which is close to 400 years old is his resQng place and here he become the worshipped deity. He was not only famous for his military record, but also as the author of the oldest, consisQng of 30 volumes, book about agriculture, the “Seiryōki”.
