“I like the small class sizes and getting to know my classmates. In high school I only asked a handful of questions in class the entire time. Here, I like speaking with professors because I know them. UW-Platteville Baraboo Sauk County has given me a strong start. The easiest way for me to explain it is by using an analogy. Starting college is like learning how to swim. Some people like to jump in the deep end, but some soon come to realize that they want out of the pool. At the branch campus, we are able to get our feet wet, and grow comfortable, before going into the deep end, and we are able to keep ourselves afloat. We still get the same workload and classes, but many of us are close to home and still have support from family and friends. The campus builds up an excellent foundation of support for the students and their future.”
