Circle K'ers!! How ya feeling? I hope you're hyped because I feel good! “Be the change you want to see in the world” by Mahatma Gandhi is a quote we oftentimes overlook and we might ask ourselves, "how can I make a difference today?" Well CKI has given us the chance to. My name is Sasha-Gaye Gray and I am the president for the year 2023-2024. I introduce myself with great pleasure and convey my heartfelt gratitude for being in this position I am a very outgoing person who loves to dance, play board games and have fun with friends. I am currently pursuing my Bachelor of Science in Nursing and entering my last year at UTECH. Firstly, I have to thank my Faculty Advisor, Mr T Hewitt, for believing in me when I did not believe in myself and a special thanks to God who led us to UTECH West CKI to serve together enriching the world one day at a time. Most importantly, I would like to thank all members of UTECH West CKI who have been attending meetings and events and volunteering when I need them the most. I look forward to a year filled with service, leadership and fellowship. I have no regrets taking this position and I plan to uphold my duties and be the captain that steers the boat to excellence. I believe each and everyone can make a difference in their own way by putting our hearts together to serve because that’s what we live for and that is what we love

VICE PRESIDENT'S REMARKS

I was a regular member for about a year and a few months prior to joining the board. I was hesitant at first because I don't normally lead and I was so scared to apply because I thought I wasn't equipped enough but with the encouragement from the past board and regular members I decided to give it a try Now that I am apart of the board, I can see how much work is put into this club and the services that is offered to the public. These services wouldn't be effective without the proper leadership of this club and that is something I grew to appreciate now that I'm on the "inside". Being apart of the board is a huge responsibility and with the great team members that I have made it easier and fun The president has made team work easy and efficient Despite my regular duties as the vice president I want to offer the club more and share with the club member some of my morals that I hold deeply. My biggest moral in life is to have a sacred relationship with God and I want to encourage the members to build a relationship with him because without God nothing is possible. I would love for us to build long lasting friendships within this club I hope our goals this year will be fulfilled Once more my name is Cameon Gardner and I am the vice president of the executive year 2023-2024.

My journey began in April 2023. At first, I shyed away from the opportunity of being a part of the CKI board. Eventually, I joined, and I am so happy I did. Being a person who is shy by nature, I must say these past few months of being a board member has helped me to become more outspoken. It has also helped me to become more responsible, improve my social skills, and expand my knowledge of the communities we serve. Being apart of CKI is an excellent way to give back to communities. It helps one to develop social skills, fosters character building, and it promotes selflessness, among other things. I can attest to this.
