ATHLETICS
Why do you want to play college baseball?
I have loved baseball since I was 10 years old and have been practicing with personal trainers and coaches from different teams. I would love to get a degree whist I am playing baseball and America is the best place to do that. Colleges in America are more focused on supporting the athlete, in both academics and sport. Also, college baseball is known for professional approach and their high level facilities and I would love the chance to experience that.
What are your college sport goals?
I want to learn from the coaches and my team-mates to improve myself, at the same help the others to push them. I can teach them skills I have learned in Europe and they can teach me the skills they have learned in America. I hope that my team will do will and win the championship.
What skills have you gained from playing team sports?
Baseball and school are the important things in my life. I have gained mental toughness. What I mean with that is handling setbacks, failures, and injuries with a positive mindset. I also learnt good discipline, by staying committed to practice schedules and performance improvement. Lastly, I have learned to communicate, motivate, and stimulate to improve myself from other perspectives.
Are you involved in any sports volunteer work?
• I coach kids at the winter school at HCAW for hitting and catching
• I volunteer in catching for pitcher training
How often do you practice?
I practice 4 times a week
What are your plans for the coming season?
To continue doing well in Heren 1 and make my debut in Heren 1.
