ATHLETICS

Why do you want to play college golf?

I want to play college golf because I want to be in the best environment to improve my golf game. I believe that college golf is the best place for a young aspiring golfer to improve. I also wanted to know what it is like to live in my country as an American citizen born abroad. This will tick both boxes.

What are your college sport goals?

To have a successful time at junior college and hopefully I will be able to transfer to a Division 2 or even a Division 1 golf program afterwards.

What skills have you gained from playing sport?

To adapt to different conditions or partners. Also, when I played baseball I learnt how to forget the last pitch (good or bad), and move on. So now with golf, if I have a bad shot I can still move on to the next hole and focus without being disappointed.

Are you involved in any sports volunteer work?

I have volunteered at golf tournaments for the younger players, and in the past I have umpired at baseball games/tournaments

How often do you practice?

I practice golf 4 – 5 times per week (minimum 20 hours), plus I go to the gym 3 times a week

What are your plans for the coming season?

I hope to get to at least scratch handicap, gain tournament experience and be accepted to a junior college gold program in the US
