Este año Mujeres en Foco abre la Ventana al Cine Nórdico con perspectiva de género. Se trata de asomarse e indagar sobre aquello que sucede en otros espacios, identificar pautas de conexión, diferencias, formas diversas de pensar y hacer que nos permitan observarnos y pensarnos más allá de las distancias. En este sentido, creemos que el cine nórdico constituye actualmente un valioso aporte a la diversidad de miradas y experiencias sobre las relaciones de género.
This year Mujeres en Foco opens the Window to the Nordic Cinema Industry with a gender perspective. The idea is to lean out and investigate about what happens in other spaces, to identify connection guidelines, differences, various ways of thinking and doing things that may allow us to observe and think about ourselves beyond all distances. Accordingly, we believe that Nordic cinema nowadays represents a valuable contribution to the diversity of perspectives and experiences on gender relations.

Ask está casado con Anne. Tienen todo que uno podría llegar a desear. Buenas carreras, hijos divinos y un departamento en Christianshavn –la zona más linda de Copenhague. Un día Anne se entera de que Ask se quiere tomar una pausa en el matrimonio. ¿Por qué? ¿Está viendo a otra mujer? Ask is married to Anne. They have everything you could ever want. Good careers, lovely children and an apartment in Christianshavn — the most beautiful part of Copenhagen. One morning, Anne learns that Ask wants to take a break from their marriage. Why? Is he seeing another woman? Like rings in the water, Ask’s decision starts affecting everyone around them. »Above the Street Below the Water« is a film about the adult generation of today. A generation who can do anything they want. The sky is the limit but every choice brings about consequences
