The community lunch for April will be revolving around the topic of LGBTQ Awareness. To further the dialogue on the LGBTQ Community in today's society, we will be having a panel of speakers including graduate and undergraduate students, and other community educators.

If you are a senior or graduate student and would like to participate in the UFMC Diversity Banquet please RSVP to Mari Hardick marilh@sandiego.edu by Friday, April 12th with your full preferred name, degree, and how many guests, family, or friends may be attending with you. This year-end celebration honors the accomplishments of graduating seniors and graduate students, recognizing their outstanding achievements and contributions to USD and the UFMC. Selected graduates will also be honored with the C.L.A.S.S. Awards for their contributions to the development of leadership, academics, social justice, and service on campus.

Graduate Records Office Announcements: For Non-Law Students ONLY!! April 2—Class reservation begins for Fall 2013; Walk-in registration begins for Summer 2013. April 5—Last day to withdraw from classes with a ‘W’; last day to remove “Incomplete’ (I’s) grades from Intersession 2013 and Spring 2013 April 29—Deadline for completion of dissertation defense for PHD students (SOLES and Nursing) for May 2013 graduation. May 1--- deadline for summer graduates who are attending commencement to register and pay for summer classes.


University Ministry Opportunities!! Tijuana Day Trip: Saturday, April 13 (All day) To help fulfill international requirements, University Ministry offers a monthly day trip to Tijuana. The trip seeks to engage students with the community in Tijuana through a service project, home visits, a border tour, and reflection. If you are looking to explore or grow in the values of solidarity, spirituality, social justice, and simplicity, these trips are perfect for you. Theology on Tap: Thursday, April 25 (7-8:30 pm) Theology on Tap is a fun and informal way to gather together with other grad students for food, drinks and community. It is a great chance to meet other graduate and law students at USD. This month, Zachary Green of SOLES will focus the night on the beauty and richness of a diversity of spiritual paths. Don’t miss your chance to meet other graduate students, as well as grow in your spirituality and faith. All are welcome, so bring a colleague or two!

Big Pink Volleyball Tournament, 4/13/13: Fight the fight against breast cancer in this one‐ day, super fun event. Teams of 6 will volley with a 48" pink volleyball in an effort to raise awareness against the fight against breast cancer. $60 per team, team captains must register online by 4/10.
