aving started my writing career professional during the lockdown, gave me something to look forward to. I used that as my coping mechanism and I always wondered how are other people coping during this devastating time, I decided to use this time to share and encourage other young people by writing articles of hope, development and always embracing and acknowledging people who are doing great things in their respective ields, communities and society at large. Yet when we thought the world was on a standstill the Urban Sounds Magazine CEO was acknowledging my work, when he told me he needed an Editor I jumped like a kangaroo to the Maldives for the opportunity. I learnt on the job, yes quite dif icult but guess what it is very much doable if you can apply yourself, your character, your charisma, education, knowledge and most importantly experience, then you are good to go. And oh Yes this is my very irst issue that will launch or break my Editors career. Well because I am a hopeful person who strongly believes in humble beginnings and in alignment. I de ine this as an opportunity of a lifetime that will be written and shared and voiced in great spaces. With this issue I hope you will be able to see what I call Africa's greatest, hoping you will be able to see yourself, de ine yourself and be able to see beyond your means and align yourself to what is your greatest gift in purpose on this earth. I am hoping that you will be proud to be part of an evolution of mankind that represents diversity, support, acknowledgement, love, unity and celebration of each other's successes and, milestones. No matter how small, or might seem irrelevant to other people, it's your story to tell. You will go through a journey of endurance, imagine this…. Waiting for 13 years for you to tick just one box, amazing right. Being able to experience moving from your home town or country to a foreign land just to pursue your dreams. This a journey of a million steps and the trick is to not count the steps. That will set you back.

This piece was created from a place of acknowledging the people in my life and their presence which has played a huge part in building my success stories. “Nobody is self-made. Complacency with isolation is deceptive. Most of all you are desired and loved by many who value your presence, whether you believe it or not and your soul exists to honor the greatness you're called to exuberate in the victorious purpose God has given you.” – Kganya Mogashoa

In October 2020 she was recognized by the city of Johannesburg for creating artwork selected for the public art collection at the historic Newtown Worker's Cottages.

This piece is a mirror re lection of mental health on myself. It is a re lection of what I choose to be regardless of what is happening around me. Joyful and grateful. “The problem is that we look for joy in all the wrong places when God has already imparted it onto us. Joy is not a mystery, it's a free gift from God.” –Kganya Mogashoa This piece reects a true story about how people treat each other. Each person carries past hurts and past traumas. How we choose to respond to them is what makes the difference. The palette represents the colors of our hearts. Each time you paint someone you have the power to project love or hate. This will either result in a positive or negative ripple effect. We create the kinds of environments we nd ourselves in based on how we choose to interact with those who come in contact with us. “You can't give what you don't have.”
