Ms. Bernice Hampton teaches Honors Pre-Calculus and Algebra II w/Trigonomery in addition to an honors section of both subjects at the Urban Prep Bronzeville Campus. Ms. Hampton has been working at Urban Prep for four years Let’s be truthful, math teachers ever since elementary school have had a bad reputation for being the least favorite teacher. But Ms. Hampton cares about her students. She supports her students inside and outside the classroom no matter what the reason is. Everyone is not fortunate to have a thanksgiving dinner, but she changed that. In November, Ms. Hampton made thanksgiving dinners and feed over 120 students. She is truly changing the narrative and for that, the students of the Bronzeville Campus have voted her teacher of the month.
