NATIONAL STUDIES SATURDAY SCHOOL

1. Introduction

1.1 Saturday School at Uppingham Cairo has been established to provide additional academic support and enrichment for pupils who are preparing for the Ministry of Education examinations. This provision reflects our commitment to ensuring that all pupils are well prepared for both the British and Egyptian curricula, and that they have every opportunity to achieve success in their studies.

1.2 The programme is delivered by our own highly qualified Arabic teaching team and is designed to consolidate pupils’ knowledge, build confidence, and strengthen examination technique in key Ministry subjects. By offering this provision on Saturdays, we are able to give pupils focused time for revision and reinforcement without disrupting their regular weekday timetable.

1.3 Attendance at Saturday School is optional, but we strongly encourage families to take advantage of this opportunity where relevant. It is an important way in which Uppingham Cairo supports the academic aspirations of our Egyptian pupils, whilst upholding our values of excellence, diligence, and responsibility.

2.1 To provide targeted preparation for Ministry of Education examinations.

2.2 To consolidate and extend pupils’ knowledge in Arabic language, Social Studies and other required Ministry subjects.
