70% minimum cumulative average in five Grade 12 academic subjects including English + one language/ social studies + three courses from any academic area
Business
70% minimum cumulative average in five Grade 12 academic subjects including English + math + any two courses from social sciences/sciences/language + one course from any academic area
Nursing
65% minimum in each subject with 70% cumulative average in five Grade 12 academic subjects including English + math (pre-calculus and/or calculus is recommended) + chemistry + biology + one course from any academic area
Science
70% minimum cumulative average in five Grade 12 academic subjects including English + math (pre-calculus and/or calculus is recommended) + two science subjects (must be chemistry and biology for kinesiology program) + one course from any academic area
Sustainable Design Engineering

FYI: Some introductory courses at UPEI have high school prerequisites: Biology 1310 does not require grade 11 or 12 biology, but both are encouraged; Chemistry 1110 requires at least academic grade 12 chemistry; Physics 1110 does not require grade 11 or 12 physics, but both are encouraged; Math 1910 requires at least academic grade 12 math.

Your UPEI education is less expensive than many other Canadian universities. Once you’re accepted to UPEI, you are immediately eligible for a variety of our scholarships, awards, and bursaries. A high school academic average over 80% provides a Guaranteed Entrance Scholarship of $500 to $3,000!
