ERNIE CLEMENTS: ALWAYS GRATEFUL
I am very thankful for John Scott and his good heart. His generosity has made an incredible impact on my life and the lives of many others. I know that the Lord is pleased by his generosity, and I pray that he and his family be blessed for the remainder of their years and that great joy and satisfaction is found in everything they do. Thank you.

A trumpet player and avid music lover, Ernie decided to major in communications because he loves to write and because communication skills are necessary to every field. Whatever he chooses to do with his life, he wants it to be something that takes a wider view. “I see myself in a positive relationship with a lot of people who all work together to do something good in a natural environment,” he said.
So far, the most interesting classes he has had at UNO have been geography classes because they helped him “map the world and think about the way different people think about the world.” He also noted that he valued his speech class because he found it to offer a necessary skill. These two choices define Ernie. He is practical in his approach to building his skills, and he is philosophical and reflective in his thinking. When asked about what his life will be after he graduates, he responded on the philosophical side: “I’ve been trying to figure that out myself.” No doubt he will. One thing he is certain of—especially in these times: his unending gratitude.
