Project Achieve helped me pay for school through the Scott Scholarship and without that I’m not sure where I would have gotten the money. It’s been an important factor in my college experience and I am so grateful to be a part of a program like that.

The thing I love most about Project Achieve is the people because they always make sure I am good, and they tell me the truth and help me get through struggles. They have taught me to ask questions and it’s okay if you don’t know the answer. They also have taught me that I am more than I think and smart but I need to try hard.

I feel like I’m not alone. I have others here that go out of their way to help even when they’re busy. It’s so easy to get discouraged and get the feeling of being unmotivated, but they will push you when life is hard. I honestly feel like everyone is like a big family.

Being a first-generation student, ready access to academic advice has not been a part of my life, therefore, when I learned about Project Achieve, I wanted to welcome these opportunities in my life. Also, I really enjoy the workshops because they give me a chance to learn new things outside of a traditional classroom setting. Honestly, without Project Achieve, I would be lost. They have helped me every step of the way. I always have someone who can help me with any challenges I face in my journey through this world of higher education.
