Faces from SZTE Nworah Chinelo Mariadorathy from Nigeria – Nurse (BSc)

My name is Nworah Chinelo Mariadorathy Trinity, I am from Nigeria. I am studying nursing and patient care at the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences, University of Szeged, under the scholarship of Hungary Help for Christian Young People (SCYP). I chose to study at SZTE because of its excellent academic prestige. I found SZTE during my online scholarship application, I got attracted by its name and structure and I decided to look it up. During my research I found out that the university is not just structurally beautiful, but is rated among the top best universities in the world especially in the field of healthcare. I am thankful for the opportunity this university offers me through knowledge and practice to become the best nurse I can be.

Beste Aydoğdu

Edebean Alsharaiheh

My name is Beste, and I am from Turkey. I am pursuing my studies at the Faculty of Pharmacy. I always knew that I wanted to study pharmacy and medicinal plants as my maternal family has been involved in treating with plants for centuries. My field of study was never a question mark for me and the only thing that was left is choosing the right University to further my studies. While searching for the right environment and education level, I started visiting different institutes, University of Szeged was one of them as my sister was already studying here. Right after I arrived to Szeged, I knew this was the place I wanted to study. It had the right hospitable environment and environs and most important of all, the best quality of educational. My years here in Szeged, already proved to me how right I was to make this decision that would put me in the accurate direction to realize my future plans to do extensive research in the field of pharmacy.

My name is Edebean Alsharaiheh (Debby to facilitate the pronunciation) and I’m from Jordan. I got accepted in the Stipendium Hungaricum Master’s program to study Spanish Language and Culture at the Faculties of Humanities and Social Sciences. I grew up learning about Hungary and its culture as it forms a part of my family. My eldest uncle studied and graduated from Hungary years ago! His love for the country is the reason behind his annual summer vacations with his wife, and that is why I so eagerly applied for the scholarship. Living in a cozy city like Szeged doesn’t only offer me a great educational opportunity but also a chance to create real connections with people and experience different cultures. A city with a slow rhythm, kind people, a breathtaking river and one of the top universities in humanities is exactly what I needed. If I had learned anything by the madness of last year is that my plans for the future are dynamic and constantly changing. I do, however, see myself in the academic field as teaching a language has always been my passion.

from Turkey – Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD)

from Jordan - Spanish Studies (MA)

Obi Chiagozie Charles

from Nigeria – Agriculture Engineering (BSc) My name is Obi Chiagozie Charles and I am from Nigeria. I am a scholarship holder at the Faculty of Agriculture, attending the Agricultural Engineering Bachelor’s program. I always wanted to study in a smaller and less crowded city at one of the best Hungarian Universities, taking these into consideration, the University of Szeged was the perfect place I was looking for. As a student of the SZTE, I am entitled to many opportunities and range of different programs, activities in different aspects. Apart from the quality of education that the SZTE provides, I had the opportunity to be part of the EUGLOH (European University Alliance for Global health) student board. My Motto: to thy own self be true. DIRECTORATE FOR INTERNATIONAL AFFAIRS & PUBLIC RELATIONS
