ABOUT THE FACULTY In our rapidly changing, globalised world, lawyers and international affairs experts need to face the steady widening of the scope of international law. Our Faculty, which is one of the leading Law Schools of Hungary, responded to this challenge by offering in-house courses in transnational and comparative studies, as well as initiating cooperation with universities from all around the world. Students at our Faculty can now choose from a variety of foreign legal and international study programmes where they will gain in-depth knowledge of various legal systems and international relations. Traditional lectures and innovative seminars are held by faculty members or practicing lawyers and other experts, as well as international scholars, visiting lecturers from across the globe. Our modules allow students and lecturers to meet in a multicultural environment to boost the efficiency of studying and research.

APPLICATION REQUIREMENTS IN GENERAL Applicants are required to submit an online application form, pay the application and/or entrance exam fees if applicable, upload documents presenting applicants’ academic background and the required language proficiency. In addition to these, in some cases a motivational letter is necessary and an entrance examination or individual online interview is held. Erasmus+

The number of our Erasmus-partners is above 110. Incoming Erasmus students are offered the Comparative Law Programme, in the framework of which courses are offered in English, French or German by our University staff and visiting professors from abroad. http://www.juris.u-szeged.hu/ comparative-erasmus


Mitra

Being awarded a European grant, the Faculty of Law and Political Sciences offers the possibility for students to spend the third semester of their study programme on transnational migration (MITRA) in Szeged. MITRA (EMJMD) is an Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degree programme implemented by ten universities worldwide (Aegean Sea, Brussels, Cluj-Napoca, Cork, Dakar, Granada, Lille, Rio, Wroclaw and Szeged). The interdisciplinary MITRA courses in Szeged are offered in two languages (French and English) within the framework of Master in International Relations programs. Other Cooperation

The Faculty has agreed with many other universities on different study and exchange programs, for example with several Chinese universities. The Faculty is also participating at the Indonesian IISMA program and the EUGLOH partnership.

3-semester long, English-language program awarding LLM to those with a prior law degree and a certificate for others

Comparative Intellectual Property Law (LL.M/Certificate):

2-semester long, English-language program awarding LLM to those with a prior law degree and a certificate for others

Doctoral Program in Law and Political Sciences (PhD):

4-year long, English-language program awarding PhD, focusing on law, international relations or political sciences
