Description

The AAAA Scholarship Foundation, Inc., is a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation established to render financial assistance for the college level education of members and relatives of the Army Aviation Association of America, Inc.

Scholarship Criteria

Annual awards for undergraduate and graduate students, who are Army Aviation Association of America, Inc. (AAAA) members or their spouses, unmarried siblings, unmarried children, and unmarried grandchildren of current and deceased members. Some awards are reserved for enlisted, warrant officer, company grade, and Department of the Army civilian members. AAAA member must have at least a one-year membership by the time of application.

Description

This scholarship is made possible through a generous endowment from the Spencer estate. It provides funds to United States Air Force personnel (officer or enlisted, Air Force civilian, full-time National Guard and full-time Reserve) to pursue graduate level education in management and administration fields in preparation for senior level leadership role.

Scholarship Criteria

One letter of recommendation from your Air Force supervisor or commander; which includes a character reference, a description of your performance and an assessment of your potential as an Air Force leader and volunteer. Proof of enrollement or acceptance into a Master’s program at an accredited college or university. A minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 (or equivalent) is required. An essay, no greater than 600 words describing your academic goals and how you expect your degree to enhance your service to the Air Force.

Description

Through its annual graduate scholarship program, the AIAA Foundation presents awards to graduate students doing excellent research in the air and space sciences. This scholarship was sponsored by the AIAA General Aviation Systems Technical Committee in honor of William T. Piper, Sr. (1881-1970); who founded Piper Aircraft Corporation. Official recognition and presentation of the check to the recipient will be made in conjunction with the Awards Presentation Ceremony at the AIAA Aviation Forum. In addition, the AIAA Foundation will present the recipient with a special recognition plaque in honor of this award.

To help support promising future aerospace professionals, the AIAA Foundation annually awards financial aid to undergraduate and graduate students in science or engineering programs related to aerospace. The William T. Piper, Sr. General Aviation Systems Graduate Award is for graduate students who are researching in areas related to general aviation aircraft.

Scholarship Criteria

Applicants must be current AIAA student members in good standing. Students must be enrolled in an accredited college or university in the U.S. and have completed at least one academic quarter of full-time graduate level coursework. A minimum GPA of 3.3 or higher. Applicants must be researching a topic related to general aviation aircraft.

Description

Women of any nationality pursuing a Ph.D./doctoral degree, who demonstrate a superior academic record conducting research applied to aerospace engineering or space sciences are eligible. It is imperative that students be registered in a full-time Ph.D./doctoral program and have completed at least one year of that program, or have received a master’s degree in an aerospace-applied field at the time the application is submitted. Applicants must not graduate from their Ph.D. or doctoral program before April 2023. Please note that post-doctoral research programs are not eligible for the Fellowship. Classified members (club members and individuals with direct membership with Zonta International) and employees of Zonta International and the Zonta Foundation for Women, and their family members (ancestors, descendants, adoptees, siblings, nieces or cousins, and those of their spouse or cohabiting partner), are not eligible to apply for the Fellowship. Note that previous Amelia Earhart Fellows are not eligible to apply to renew the Fellowship for a second year.

Scholarship Criteria

Must not be attending high school currently. Restricted to students studying Aviation/Aerospace, Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering/Electronics, Earth Science, or Mechanical Engineering.
