AHFA is a robust 3 week Flight Academy structured to ensure students learn everything necessary to achieve up to 15 flight hours and potentially complete their first solo flight by the conclusion of the academy.
Description
Students must complete the application online at aimhighflightacademy.com, and have parental/legal guardian signed approval (if under 18). Please follow the detailed application instructions on aimhighflightacademy.com. Additionally, students must have an endorsement from their high school principal or counselor, verifying they’re an enrolled student, their GPA, and are in good standing as well as an endorsement from a nominating organization. Lastly, applicants must have a “strong” interest in aviation and a “never-quit” attitude. Applicants must fill out basic applicant information on aimhighflightacademy.com, and attach their signed nominations to their application entry. Incomplete applications will not be accepted.
Scholarship Criteria
Applicants must: Be between the ages of 16 and 23; Be a full-time student in High School, College, or an enlisted member of any service enrolled in school full-time; Understand they are volunteering for a scholarship to a public flight school contracted by the United States Air Force. College applicants must be currently enrolled in AFROTC or the United States Air Force Academy to be qualified. There is no military service commitment or obligation, nor does program completion justify acceptance to military service. Applicants must be at least 16 years old by 1, June, 2022, and have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or better (on a 4.0 scale) to submit a package or be nominated. To accomplish this, applicants must include a rotation of 3 segments every day; which include flight simulator time, academic classroom time (white board and lecture lesson style), and flight time. The students will be assigned into flights and be assigned a wingman within that flight, to study and fly with throughout their time during the program. When students aren’t in structured flight time, the additional hours of the day will be filled with mentorship with their flight commanders and other staff, studying to prepare for the next day, character development, and supplemental “tips and tricks”. Tips and tricks include chair flying, Emergency Procedure practice, and how to conduct “stand ups” to name a few. (Stand ups are the daily briefs conducted by aviators to inform members about daily weather, any NOTAMs, and can include an EP and other relevant information.)

The AAAA Scholarship Foundation, Inc., is a non-profit, tax-exempt corporation established to render financial assistance for the college level education of members and relatives of the Army Aviation Association of America, Inc.
Scholarship Criteria
Annual awards for undergraduate and graduate students, who are Army Aviation Association of America, Inc. (AAAA) members or their spouses, unmarried siblings, unmarried children, and unmarried grandchildren of current and deceased members. Some awards are reserved for enlisted, warrant officer, company grade, and Department of the Army civilian members. AAAA member must have at least a one-year membership by the time of application.

This scholarship is in memory of Captain Jodi Callahan, who was an AFA Under-Forty National Director and a Trustee of the former Aerospace Education Foundation. This scholarship is made possible through contributions to the Jodi Callahan Memorial Fund by her family and friends.
The Captain Jodi Callahan Memorial Scholarship provides a $2,000 scholarship to Active Duty Air Force, full-time Air National Guard, or full-time Air Force Reserve personnel pursuing a Master’s Degree in a non-technical field of study.
Scholarship Criteria
A completed application is required. One letter of recommendation from your Air Force supervisor or commander. One letter of recommendation from your Air Force supervisor or commander; which includes a character reference, a description of your performance, and an assessment of your potential as an Air Force leader and volunteer. All letters will need an ink stained signature for acceptance. Any letters without this will not be considered. Proof of acceptance or enrollment in a Master’s program at an accredited college or university. A minimum Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.0 on a scale of 4.0 (or equivalent) is required. Submit an official, original transcript of your most recent college or university Master’s program. If you have not yet started your Master’s program, submit an official, original transcript from your Undergraduate Degree. An essay no greater than 600 words, describing your academic goals and how you expect your degree to enhance your service to the Air Force.

Description
This scholarship is made possible by a bequest from Mr. and Mrs. Michael and Judith Burgstein, in memory of their devoted son and AFA Lifetime Member, Colonel Aaron Burgstein. The scholarship was established for minor dependents of Active Duty, retired, or prior service members of all branches, reservists or National Guard members who are/will be pursuing a two or four-year degree at an accredited college/university. Priority will be given to those dependents whose parent/guardian either: served for eight or more years; died while serving on or in an active duty status, or; has been classified as a wounded warrior through the Air Force Wounded Warrior program. Additional funds supporting this program have been contributed by family, friends and colleagues.
Once the recipient is selected, the Air Force Association will notify the student with a congratulatory email. The check will be distributed directly to the recipient’s college or university, which can be used for any education related expense.
Scholarship Criteria
A 600 word essay describing your academic and personal achievements, and goals, and how this scholarship will help you accomplish them. One letter of recommendation written by a teacher, a supervisor, a counselor, or the director of an organization in which you participate. It may not be written by a family member or friend. The most recent copy of an official transcript. Your cumulative GPA must fall between 2.5 and 4.0 (do not round up). Acceptance or enrollment into an accredited college/university. A copy of your parent’s/ guardian’s DD214 or proof of military service such as a front and back copy of your military ID card.
