Description
This scholarship is to assist a woman towards a career in the aviation field by providing $1,500 towards flight training. The money can be used towards any rating or certificate, except Private Pilot. Also included will be a 1 year membership in the Ninety-Nines.
Scholarship Criteria
To be eligible, you must be: female; at least 18 years old; at least a Private Pilot; living in, or be a permanent resident of The 99s South east Section; in financial need and; must have a desire to make the field of aviation your career. (The 99s Southeast Section includes FL, GA, NC, SC, AL, MS, LA & TN.)

A war hero and pioneer aviator, Bob Ellis’s passion for aviation was equaled only by his commitment to Southeast Alaska. From making history in amphibious airplanes, to creating an airline that ultimately became what we know as Alaska Airlines, to becoming Ketchikan’s town mayor and two-term Territorial Legislature Senator. Bob’s enthusiasm for aviation in the Southeast is carried on by the Alaska Airmen by their awarding a $500 scholarship to a Southeastern Alaskan Resident.

Description
MoSAC and MAMA jointly award a scholarship annually to applicants who are enrolled in an aviation-related curriculum at a U.S. college or university. Awards will be made to U.S. Citizens without regard to gender, race, religion or national origin.
Scholarship Criteria
Applicant must: Be a U.S. Citizen attending a school in the U.S; Must be enrolled in or plan to continue a college curriculum leading to a degree in the field of aviation; Have an overall grade point average of at least 2.5 on a 4.0 scale; and Submit a 300 word (typed, doublespaced) paper on “Why I Wish to Pursue a Career in Aviation”; Submit an official transcript with an application. Scholarships are not based on endowment and are sometimes not awarded.

Description
Christian was a successful, young flight instructor who always looked to share his passion for aviation in Alaska’s community. Christian was a natural teacher with a constant focus on “safety first.” Christian passed away in 2016, at age 20; when the aircraft he was a passenger in was brought down by a bird strike. Christian’s passion and aviation spirit will live on through the Alaska Airmen’s Association by their awarding a $2,500 scholarship in Christian’s honor; continuing to help Alaska residents pursue their dream of becoming a professional pilot.

Scholarship Criteria
The Colorado Agricultural Aviation Association Scholarship is awarded annually. Any persons submitting a resume application to the Colorado Agricultural Aviation Association will be eligible for this award. Candidates should demonstrate a genuine interest in agricultural areas such as agronomy, research, or ag- law that promotes or supports the Agricultural Aviation Industry. Non-traditional students are also encouraged to apply. Although not required, letters of recommendation will be accepted along with the resume application.
