facilities which enrich the children’s learning experiences all year round. Spring is all about discovering new life, bluebells in Roughwood, the ducklings & chicks hatching and the excitement at the new arrival of lambs, kids (the goat kind) and calves. Summer means splashing in the stream, building dens, climbing trees and playing in the sunshine. When autumn comes around, the children look forward to picking blackberries on their trips to Roughwood, finding spider webs sparkling with dew, hunting for ladybirds and kicking the leaves as they begin to fall. Winter is helping to feed the animals, using a stick to draw patterns in the frost, crunching the ice in the puddles and if we are really lucky making snow angels, building snowmen and igloos. Through careful planning, guidance and encouragement from our experienced practitioners our children spend quality time, every day, playing outside. Here they have the privilege of space and the freedom to run freely in the paddocks,

exploring the natural world around them. These rich and varied experiences help children gain confidence, self esteem and independence. They learn team work, how to negotiate and solve a problem on their own. All these skills help to prepare children for their transition into school and for their life.
