Change inevitably brings challenges, but together, we have embraced them, strengthened our mission, and positioned WE CAN for a future filled with promise As we set our sights on our 25th Anniversary in 2026, we are building an even stronger organization committed to empowering women of all ages and life situations across Cape Cod.

Attended and spoke at 37 outreach events to raise awareness about WE CAN A N D A C C O M P L I S H M E N T S
Served 1,427 women, a 4% increase over 2023 and increased attendance in programs by 24%
Partnered with our 318 volunteers to offer 973 one to one legal, work support, financial empowerment, and business support consultations and 28 workshops, personal development, and mentoring programs
Offered services in-person, virtual, and in multiple languages to women on Cape Cod regardless of their immigration status
Engaged with the Diversity North Group to continue WE CAN’s Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging work and implemented recommendations
Developed new business program in response to women entrepreneurs seeking continued accountability and peer support beyond the GROW program
Received a 2024 Catalyst Grant from Women’s Foundation of Boston that fully funds a new economic mobility program exploration
Hosted the most successful Midsummer Soiree event yet, raising 60% more funds than previous years to support WE CAN programs
Welcomed four new staff members to build WE CAN’s capacity and ability to deliver services to Cape women

At our Community Breakfast this year, WE CAN was thrilled to honor The Family Resource Center (pictured) with our Exceptional Community Partner Award, Jane Porter and Sharon Tennstedt with our Distinguished Volunteer Award, W. Vernon Whiteley Plumbing & Heating with our Celebrated Supporters award and Pamela Kukla with our Debbie Todd Award for Exceptional Volunteer Service Award.

WE CAN’s Second Summer Cycle bike team of 50 riders raised $53,000 to support women on Cape Cod!
