Team United Maharlika Foundation Inc., or TUMFI, was conceived and organized by a group of community leaders whose goals and objectives were to make changes and practices to reflect the ideals and true process of democracy and entrepreneurship. On its evolution, it has become one of the most active organizations in the Filipino American community in the United States of America from its inception in September 2011. In 2012, TUMFI launched a program Calamities for Charities and collaborated with other organizations and entities for its advocacy on medical, surgical and dental missions in the Philippines. It has distributed cash; relief goods and foods to those affected by calamities and conducted humanitarian and charitable works in the Philippines and in the US. In 2014, TUMFI launched another program, The Overseas Foreign Workers Award, to recognize nationals from different countries who continue to be the movers, supporters and proponents to their originating motherland. In 2015, TUMFI added The Maharlika Award in their Gala Night to recognize individuals born within and outside of the United States who continue in working and helping their local communities. THE MOST OUTSTANDING OVERSEAS FOREIGN WORKERS The Most Outstanding Overseas Foreign Workers program was launched in 2014 with the purpose of recognizing the people born outside of the United States, excel in their fields of endeavor and has made vital contributions to their country of origin and in the United States of America through their charitable and humanitarian works. In selecting the awardees, there is a nomination process, discussion by the awards committee, and selection of an individual per category. After which, the awards committee chairman will make the proper endorsements to the executive board for final approval. THE MAHARLIKA AWARD The MAHARLIKA Award is given to individuals, couples and organizations who continue to work to the best of their capacity to help those who are in most need. And oftentimes, their willingness to help knows no bounds. In the Philippines, these individuals are regarded very highly and are considered as the “noble ones.

THE SUMMER THEMED EVENTS

CHRISTMAS CAROLING

Caroling is a big part of the Filipino Christmas celebration. Once the dawn mass known as "Misa de Gallo" or "Simbang Gabi" begins, choralists will be on their feet singing Christmas hymns from house to house, spreading the joyous spirit of the season through tunes. Here in the U.S., our TEAM UNITED family tries to emulate the same celebration. During the Yuletide season, we gather our members to avail their leisure time and indulge in singing Christmas carols. We gather the monetary donations and put to use towards our yearly activities, for Missions in the Philippines, and other charitable causes that we support. In this manner, we also engage families, especially kids, to experience "caroling" the way we do it back home. This event is a joyous occasion for both children and adults. Should you wish to be part of our Christmas Caroling or be visited by us during this Christmas KARAOKE FOR A CAUSE season, please contact Team United at 646-831-9541

“Touch of Gold," "White Party. Name it what you want. But, we always ask ourselves: By what method would we be able to have an incredible time while encouraging solid, real bonds between individuals who cooperate? Call it perfect spot, correct time, or perhaps simply the right blend of diligent work and good fortune; yet, things always take off pretty fun and easy once the burst of sunshine starts to paint the summer skies with its golden dusts! And our TEAM UNITED family is always ready to favor each one with the heavenly company and delicious comestibles! If you wish to join us this summer, please contact Team United at 646-831-9541

Founder & President When Team United Maharlika Foundation, Inc. was founded in September 2011, there were less than ten (10) kindhearted community leaders who would like to make a difference in the way an organization is to be run. Recognizing that all of us are volunteers and our only pay-off is the joy that service to our fellowmen could bring, we moved on. Six (6) years after this month, when you look at the eyes of the officers and members of this organization, with their smiles, you can tell the fulfillment of that experience. You expect us to stop because we fulfilled our goal? A big NO! We moved forward and wanted to do more. Thus, for the 4th time now, we have another batch of the Most Outstanding Overseas Foreign Workers, the Maharlika Awardees and the Ambassador of Goodwill. Today, we celebrate them, and we are glad that you are celebrating with us. Thank you! These people have excelled in their fields of endeavor. They gave, they shared, they worked hard and now they will be recognized. Congratulations! To our supporters and to those who believed in what Team United Maharlika Foundation, Inc’s. advocacy, we always thank you and value your support to us and our advocacies and projects. This year, on February 2 & 4, 2017 we have conducted a two-day medical, dental and humanitarian mission in La Castellana, Negros Occidental and we added the surgical component on it. Truly, it was an amazing experience. In 2018, I would challenge and invite you to join, collaborate, contribute and donate with us for the most devastated city in the Philippines right now. MARAWI CITY. Proceeds of today’s fundraising will go to our Medical and dental services for the people of Marawi City in February. Don’t just be on the sideline on this, be an active part of our advocacies and projects, contact us… Let us be UNITED and join forces with us to help our fellow Filipinos in that part of Mindanao. Today as celebrate our awardees, we begin to conceptualize to materialize a mission in MARAWI CITY!!! We continue to move forward…

Greg Agulan EVP & COO The Lifeblood of Team United Maharlika Foundation is rooted in service and everything flows and is nourished by it. Service is the nurturing force that fuels our growth. Giving our best becomes our culture guided by its vision and cause. Our collaboration with other community organizations are the foundation of our accomplishment. And hard work with dedication are the bedrock of our achievement. Today, as we celebrate the 6th founding Anniversary of Team United Maharlika Foundation Inc., we commemorate this occasion by honoring these extraordinary individuals who go beyond themselves and their families while they make a substantial contribution of service to others. I cannot imagine how Sir Francis Sison and Miss Cherry Smyth do it. Sir Francis builds inspired leaders through his international leadership of the Order of Knights of Rizal while Cherry builds up the dreams of many school children in Palawan through KIDS PHILIPPINES. And each one of you who have been selected shall be honored today as Outstanding Overseas Workers representing millions of overseas workers around the world. OFWs are declared as modern Heroes as a hero is living a sacrificial life which means a life of service. With that, we honor you at today’s occasion With another joint celebration, this year, we thank you for joining us. And a salute to all our honoree. Mabuhay and congratulations!
