COMMUNITY NEWS AND EVENTS

16th November 2014 will see the 6th annual Sunninghill Victorian Street Fayre in Sunninghill High Street – noon to 4 pm. Over the past 5 years the Fayre has raised around £60k for local charities – Sebastian’s Action Trust which offers help to families with seriously ill children, The Ascot Day Centre which offers companionship, a hot lunch and entertainment to some of the elderly in our community, The Autism Trust, local Scouts and Guides and other local charities. On 16th November the High Street will be lined with over 50 stalls selling food and all varieties Christmas goodies. Father Christmas will be in his Grotto in the Day Centre. There will be children’s fairground rides, Punch and Judy and lots of entertainment. There will be a free Park and Ride from Ascot High Street – outside the Library – and people can leave their cars free in Car Park 3. Hi Wendy, I got diagnosed with bipolar a week ago, I lost my granddad to motor neurone disease last year, which I think is where that's all stemmed from as still now I'm not over it; I don't deal with stress very well. I have a little sister with down’s syndrome who I love to pieces, but sometimes that can grind me down and I have quite a turbulent relationship with my dad. I quit my job as a carer about 3 months ago and I've just got another job as a support worker which I haven't started yet. I was in a 2 year relationship which ended badly, we were quite violent to each other and we argued 24/7, and we split recently, but I'm now back living with him. I'm totally in love with the boy but I'm not sure what he's thinking, so really I guess what I'm asking is where am I headed and do you think things will start to get better? Thank you xx Thanks for your letter. As I tune into your energy , Oh my goodness my head is spinning- there is so much going on , I feel your mind just racing at 100mph and you rushing at everything you do in life- your system seems to be on overload . It’s time to slow down and take one thing at a time. Stop putting so much pressure on yourself.

I feel you are also intuitive. This means you have an extra sensitive nervous system, so you will tend to take things on board and then go into overwhelm, this, I feel is what’s happening with you. First and foremost you need to find a way to calm your system. Find something that you enjoy that helps you switch off. I suggest a 10min relaxation meditation daily, especially at night, to wind down. Yoga would also be good for you. It is important for you to begin to listen to your body and notice when you are feeling stressed or your system is overloaded, rather than ignore things until it gets too much. Retreat, take time out, allow your body to relax, and you will be able to cope better in general. I think its easier for you to deal with other people’s problems but in doing so and keeping yourself busy you are avoiding your own. It’s time to stop avoiding and skirting round things to do with your health and take things a little more seriously. Get into a routine and focus on the truth, seeing things for what they are, not what you want them to be. Work through your problems- you will feel so much more in control when you manage things better, you will feel more balanced.

Life has been tough on you over the past year or so and it’s been a bit of an emotional roller coaster, to say the least, but you are now finding your inner strength and beginning to deal with what life has thrown at you. You have had a bit of a wake up call and have made changes that will have a positive impact to your life going forward. This new job is a fantastic opportunity for you to apply yourself, it’s much more suited to you. Using your intuition within your work role will bear you well. I feel you will receive some kind of recognition in work for what you do.

There is no need to rush into relationships, as if you do you will make the same mistakes over and over. I do feel that something is missing or lacking and you will re-evaluate the situation. You need to start putting yourself first . Never settle for anything less that you deserve. You are young and have your full life in front of you. There are more important things to deal with right now, first and foremost is your health.
