Tagai celebrates this year’s leaders and seniors STORY & PICS BY VELMA GARA Waybeni Koey Ngurpay Mudh held their Badge and School Blessing Ceremony for more than 40 Year 12 students late last week. To open the celebrations, Taum Nona led the singing of hymn Baba Waian, which was followed by prayer from Pastor Nathan Seden. Year 11 students Louise Johnson and Micairee Bin-Awel were great Masters of Ceremony, conducting the proceedings very well. Presentations were also made to each year level’s Leaders, Sports House Captains and Boarding College Leaders.
Head of Campus Suberia Bowie spoke to the seniors about having a voice and being heard, which linked well with the school’s motto – Strive to Excel. Former student, Frank Loban, who graduated in 1996, was the guest speaker.
