History Continues. . . A tale of fine porcelain
The history of fine porcelain reflects the history of culture and sophistication. From the great dynasties of China to modern wedding lists, fine porcelain is and always has been held in high esteem. Strong, yet fragile. Elegantly beautiful. Royal Copenhagen’s own birth as the Royal Danish Porcelain Factory was in 1775, under the protection of Queen Juliane Marie. Since the very beginning, Royal Copenhagen has formed artistry, craftsmanship and innovation into a porcelain art of uncompromising perfection. Lovely to look at. Smooth to the touch. Each piece tells its own story. Some take a point of breathtaking departure from an element of tradition, finding daring new expressions through functionality. Connoisseurs would say that the classic Blue Fluted dinnerware perfectly represents Royal Copenhagen’s coveted Danish porcelain. And they say this with good reason. Our fine white porcelain was first adorned with delicate blue patterns over two centuries ago in 1775, when the Royal Danish Porcelain Factory was founded. Since then, Blue Fluted represents expert hand-painting traditions, passed down through generations of porcelain painters.
Blue Fluted is available in four different designs: Blue Fluted Full Lace, Blue Fluted Half Lace, Blue Fluted Plain and Blue Fluted Mega.

Her design breaks with tradition, yet the hand-painted craftsmanship is constant. The magnification of the classic pattern creates extraordinary expressions that are still rather familiar. Blue Fluted Mega is the rebirth of a legacy. With this renewal, the 1775 pattern evolves and a modern classic is born. ELEMENTS Let your imagination run wild
Elements is a cheerful play on colour and shapes for modern living, but one that is deeply rooted in age-old traditions. The collection is the result of an inspired collaboration between Danish designer, Louise Campbell and Royal Copenhagen. Elements raids the design archives, appropriating centuries-old elements in new and unexpected ways. A lace motif is boldly enthroned in the middle of a saucer; a classic chrysanthemum roams over the side of a circular plate while an elegant rectangular dish does justice to both sushi rolls and pastry. Elements offers endless opportunities to colour in your life or keep it simple in purest white. With white as the starting point, a rainbow of different colours accents can be subtly or vividly introduced to dinnerware. Each piece is available in both pure white or decorated in its own colour; from juicy tangerine to radiant grass green. A palette of colour for a palate of taste. Dare your imagination.

A hand-painted vase from Royal Copenhagen is a work of art that can be seen and admired from all angles. It is also a statement of the skill and artistry of the vase painter. Much is left to the painter’s interpretation; their much-admired talents are evident in the play between shadows and colour on the vase’s smooth sides. A modern interpretation of the classic Royal Copenhagen floral vase is the Hydrangea, created by Dutch floral artist, Wouter Dolk. FLORA DANICA Precious, Prestigious, Priceless
Flora Danica is one of the world’s most prestigious and luxurious porcelain collections. Dating from the 1700s, the service was the life’s work of acclaimed porcelain painter, Johann Christoph Bayer. A task from the Royal family, the service was intended as a gift for the Tsarina, Catherine II of Russia – an avid collector of porcelain. In 1790, the translation of the wild flowers and plants from the botanical encyclopaedia, Flora Danica began. 12 years later, there were 1802 unique hand-moulded and hand-painted parts and a service fit for royalty. The original service is still used by the Danish royal family. Flora Danica is also much loved by other royal families around the world. Which is why Flora Danica represents so much. History. Artistry. Craftsmanship. Each piece is endlessly fascinating to see and hold. The detail of the painting is astonishing, the quality of the porcelain form is perfect.
