Evaporation is a natural process in aquariums, and without intervention, it can lead to fluctuations in water levels. ATO systems help counteract these fluctuations by automatically adding freshwater to the tank as needed.
In marine aquariums, as freshwater evaporates, the salinity of the remaining water increases. ATO systems add freshwater to compensate for this evaporation, preventing significant changes in salinity levels.
Manual topping up of aquariums can be time-consuming and may be neglected, leading to fluctuations in water parameters. ATO systems automate this process, saving the aquarium keeper time and ensuring that water levels are consistently maintained.
