Mother’s Day By Chris Frost Oxnard-- It was a classic Mother’s Day memory in the making at The Collection, Sunday, May 9, as Live Music on Parkview Court featured music, food, and lots of families gathering and enjoying the day.

HE event was socially distant, and attendees feasted on food from the Annex, shopped for last-minute prizes for mom, and even got the chance for a Mother’s Day photo in a decorated enclave to make the memory special. Conejo Recreation and Parks District updates the Thousand Oaks City Council By Chris Frost Thousand Oaks-- The Conejo Recreation and Parks District stopped by the Thousand Oaks City Council meeting, Tuesday, May 11, and updated the group about its adult, teen, and volunteer programs. Patty Hamm, the Goebel Adult Community Center supervisor, said the City of Thousand Oaks and the Conejo Recreation

and Parks District have a longstanding history of partnership and collaboration. “It has allowed us to enrich the quality of life of the teens, adults, and seniors in our community,” she said. “The Goebel Adult Community Center has always been, and continues to be, a gem in our community for our seniors.
