VENTURA COUNTY MOVES TO THE
RED TIER

CRAFT FESTIVAL IS FUN IN THE SUN
By Chris Frost chris@tricountysentry.com Newbury Park-- The sun was bright, the weather was warm, and vendors were on the loose, March 13, as the 34th Annual Spring Art & Craft Festival was a shopping paradise.

HE festival featured more than 60 artists and craftspersons at Borchard Community Center, who sold great gifts and prizes to the public. Children enjoyed hands-on activities, refreshments, which were all free. Ceasar Lopez, community liaison between the Conejo Valley Recreation & Park District and the community said because of Covid-19, the event was moved to March 13. n Spring Art, see page 6
Athens Services awarded solid waste franchise in Thousand Oaks By Chris Frost chris@tricountysentry.com Thousand Oaks-The Thousand Oaks City Council, on March 9, approved an exclusive solid waste franchise agreement with Arakelian Enterprises, which operates as Athens Services. The agreement is for residential
and commercial solid waste, recyclable materials, and organic waste collection services from January 1, 2022, until December 31, 2036. Sustainability Division Manager Helen Cox presented the item to the council and said n Athens Services, see page 6
