HVAC – Electrical Diagnostics February 19 & 26 9:00am – 4:00pm Both Days $500 Members Five (5) Continuing Education Credits (CECs) per session Instructor: David Cameron, HVACR Training, LLC Location: David Cameron HVACR Training, LLC Facility (Garner, NC) This Hands-On training will provide an introduction to electricity and common electrical circuits used in HVAC. Each participant will measure voltage, current, and resistance on a project they wire from basic diagrams and schematics provided. The Instructor will explain the use of OEM diagrams and various test instruments. Low
voltage wiring requirements and basic troubleshooting measurements will be included. It also combines OEM diagrams and practical diagnostic processes to most effectively resolve any electrical breakdown. Participants will apply their knowledge using diagrams, basic circuits and live equipment; strategies for troubleshooting components and controls. Accessory devices will be provided. The primary objective of this class is to reduce downtime by expediting the diagnosis.

HVAC – Refrigerant Diagnostics March 5 & 12 9:00am – 4:00pm Both Days $500 Members Five (5) Continuing Education Credits (CECs) per session Instructor: David Cameron, HVACR Training, LLC Location: David Cameron HVACR Training, LLC Facility (Garner, NC) Refrigerants, primary circuit components and their function together are thoroughly explained in this intensive introduction to the “heart and veins” of our business. The primary objectives are to understand basic circuit flow and test measurements. Participants will use various OEM charging charts to achieve correct refrigerant quantity with air
conditioning and heat pump examples. This class will include an introduction to diagnostic measurements and strategies. Most equipment breakdowns are resolved when the technician literally goes “back-to-the-basics.” Participants will also learn how to measure indoor airflow and use operating pressures, superheat and subcooling to identify the root cause on the first call. The objective is to employ a “no-fail” troubleshooting strategy for any indoor comfort system complaint.
