StreetLightUSA Mission/Purpose: Transition adolescent girls from Trauma to Triumph through residential care and comprehensive services for health and well-being, education, life skills, career preparation and assistance with legal needs. Mission is implemented by a two-tier approach – Crisis Intervention and Stabilization. Governance: Established in 2009, StreetLightUSA is governed by a volunteer Board of Directors. The CEO /President heads the organization and is supported in day-to-day operations by the Director of Operations and a professional team of 50 full, part-time and contracted residential and administrative staff. Funding: StreetLightUSA is a 501(c) 3 nonprofit agency in good standing. This organization is funded by individual donors, corporations/ businesses, faithbased communities, civic groups, local government agency placement contracts and private/public/foundation grants.
Volunteers: Community volunteers provide an array of services which include life-skills education, tutoring, mentorship, campus beautification projects, support services and product drives. Population Served: Girls 11-17 years of age who are the victims of child sex trafficking, sexual abuse and those who are identified as having a high risk of becoming victimized. Placement/Referral source: Clients are referred by Arizona governmental agencies charged with protecting minors, other nonprofit agencies, first responders and private placement from Arizona and across the United States. Service/Programming: Direct Care Services include, but are not limited to: trauma informed care and therapies; wellness, art therapy; individual and group counseling, mentoring; continued education, GED and tutoring; survivor-led group counseling; life skills; structured recreational activities, victim rights and advocacy services.
