EDITOR Hello again, This time of year is all about new possibilities and opportunities. We’ve been allowed to take our face coverings off, but many of us are still a bit unsure about jumping back in to the social whirl. It’s a time to stand back for a moment, to stop and smell the flowers and to consider what really matters. The past couple of years have meant a great deal of change for us all. Our priorities have changed and many of us are finding the rising cost of everything from food to fuel bills means we have to be more discerning about how we spend our cash. That’s why we’re focussing on some of the free attractions that the city and shire offers in this issue. We sometimes forget the wealth of natural and cultural attractions we have because we live here. It’s easy to take our surroundings for granted. It’s time to think like a tourist and explore what’s on offer with new eyes. It might be a simple picnic in the park, watching the sunrise over the ruins of Slains Castle or exploring the Art Gallery. It might be a beach litter pick, dolphin spotting, climbing Bennachie or simply easing yourself back into your social life by catching up with a friend over coffee in a café or a glass or two of wine in your own garden.
