Suplemento Especial YOU CAN find in this place the mythical elves and fairies of the stories and legends that many times gave free rein to our imagination…. The collection this shop –created in 2004– amasses is very complete but, according to Spaniard Pep Catalá, its creator, “There are still elves to be born and shared….” All the small Lucky Goblins are featured: 77 varieties of elves, the fairies of the four seasons of the year and the six powerful ones; trolls, pirates and goblins, as well as a wide variety of little witches to avoid bad vibes. They are all limited series made by hand by experienced craftspeople, and are made with special materials like biscuit resin, porcelain, and a special type of glue that gives the dolls a baby smell. The shop also sells incense and semiprecious stones for healing or to stimulate our state of mind in the form of costume jewelry or lamps. •

Tienda-Museo de Relojes «Cuervo y Sobrino» SE SORPRENDERÁ al entrar en esta atractiva tienda-museo tanto por la venta de los internacionalmente conocidos relojes «Cuervo y Sobrino» como por los tabacos habanos, de cuyas vitolas adquirieron los primeros sus nombres, como: Robustos, Pirámides y Torpedos, y que también se venden en el lugar. Sólo los relojes Cronos y Piratas -los más vendidos- están inspirados en los cañones del Morro y la Cabaña. «Es el mismo reloj suizo de alta gama con auténtica alma latina» uno de sus lemas pero que mejor califica a este producto. Además, en este lugar resaltan los relojes museables que están dispuestos por toda la tienda y que son piezas prestadas por el Museo de la Ciudad. •

YOU WILL be surprised on entering this attractive shop-museum because of the sale of the internationally renowned Cuervo y Sobrino watches as well as Havana cigars, whose vitolas that first acquired their names, like: Robustos, Pirámides and Torpedos, are also sold in this place. Just the Cronos y Piratas watches – the most sold – have the Morro and Cabaña cannons as their inspiration. “It’s the same high-gamut Swiss watch with an authentic Latin soul” reads one of its slogans that best describes this product. Going back in history a bit we can say that the trademark emerged in Cuba thanks to Cuervo and his neph-
ew, who gave the company that imported Swiss watches to the country that name and had their first shop on the top floor of Muralla 13 ½. It was only in the 1950s that its owners sold it to Italian Marcio Villa, who has the factory in Lugano, Switzerland, and who kept the name due to its international recognition. Ever since then, Cuervo y Sobrino is the trademark of one of the most famous watches in the world, manufactured by experienced Swiss masters.
