TPE COLLEAGUES BUST ‘BLUE MONDAY’ MYTH WITH ENGAGEMENT ACTIVITIES ACROSS THE NETWORK Earlier this week, colleagues from across the network came together to mark Samaritans’ annual awareness campaign, ‘Brew Monday’. The third Monday of the year is traditionally known as ‘Blue Monday’, but Samaritans puts a positive spin on the day and encourages people to start a conversation over a cuppa instead. TPE colleagues accepted the challenge and set out to make a positive difference with engagement activities that lasted well into the week. On Monday, our customer hosts and colleagues from the Occupational Health team were pleased to offer customers free tea and coffee on board our catered services and encouraged people to check in on their loved ones. Meanwhile, TPE Mental Health Ambassadors and representatives from British Transport Police (BTP), Samaritans and the Railway Children wrapped up warm and braved the freezing temperatures to hand out leaflets (and more than 1,000 tea bags!) and talk about the campaign to our customers and colleagues passing through Hull station. We also held charity bake sales at locations across the network on Tuesday - thank you to everyone who brought in delicious baked goods and has donated so far. There’s still time to donate to help us reach our target of £200. And not forgetting the online training, ‘Managing Suicidal Contacts’, led by our colleague Rich Holliday on Wednesday. The informative session equipped attendees with the skills and confidence to approach someone who is emotionally vulnerable on the railway and help them to safety and to further outside help. A big thank you to Rich for hosting this session. We asked you to send in your pictures of how you got involved in Brew Monday for the chance to win a £50 Amazon voucher. We’re pleased to announce Lizzie Williams, Media and PR Manager is our winner. Thank you to everyone who got involved this week to help us mark Brew Monday.

Congratulations to Lizzie Williams, Media and PR Manager whose jazzy bake won our charity bake sale!

There was a small decrease in T3 and T15 punctuality with T15 missing target, however cancellations are down on the previous week. It was still a strong week, with 32% less TOC on self-delay minutes. Fleet delay minutes were reduced by half compared to the previous week. On Thursday, Friday and Saturday there was no major Network Rail/external disruption and all daily targets were met.

RENAME OUR COLLEAGUE SURVEY AND WIN A £50 VOUCHER We need your help to re-name our new-look colleague survey. Our previous suvey was called ‘Your Voice’, and is being refreshed to ensure it reflects who we are now, but we need your help to decide a new name ahead of its launch. The colleague behind the winning submission will receive a £50 Amazon voucher as a thank you. If you have a survey name suggestion, please email Victoria.Snell@tpexpress.co.uk by Friday 19 January.
