BUNA HOLDING’S MODERN BRAND REBIRTH

REBRAND REFLECTS SAUDI PROGRESS, HERITAGE AND VISION 2030 AMBITION.

BUNA Holding has revealed a bold new brand identity that places the group at the intersection of heritage and futurefocused growth. The unveiling comes at a pivotal time, as Saudi Arabia drives forward its ambitious Vision 2030 transformation, and BUNA’s refreshed look speaks as both a tribute to humble beginnings and a clear statement of intent about its role in shaping the Kingdom’s urban and economic future.

The rebrand is more than just a change of visuals. It represents a strategic shift, one that positions BUNA Holding as an integrated holding company and clarifies its identity as a homegrown, vertically integrated partner for national development.

CONTINUITY AND AMBITION AT THE CORE

The heart of the rebrand lies in a balance of continuity and ambition. BUNA’s new identity leans into three defining pillars:

 Heritage - respect for roots, craftsmanship, and community

 Resilience - the ability to scale and deliver with speed and precision

 Innovation - the adoption of advanced technologies and sustainable practices

Together, these pillars reinforce the company’s message: BUNA is no longer just a builder of projects, but a platform for long-term value creation across real estate, construction, consultancy, and facilities management. This evolution is critical for clients, partners, and government stakeholders seeking accountable, end-toend solutions from trusted Saudi partners.

A VIDEO THAT TELLS THEIR STORY

Watch the Video Here

“We are building for long-term national value”

Accompanying the rebrand is a cinematic brand film that captures the essence of BUNA’s journey. The video opens with scenes of early construction activity and neighborhood projects, before expanding to sweeping shots of modern urban skylines and infrastructure.

Heritage and modernity form our new identity

The narrative is rich with visual metaphors about building, joining, and bridging, emphasizing BUNA’s role as a connector between the past and the future. Just as importantly, the video conveys the company’s commitment to unity of purpose, long-term stewardship, and alignment with Saudi Arabia’s national development goals. It is not only a brand reveal but also a declaration of vision.

LEADERSHIP AT THE HELM WITH ESLAM RADWAN

At the forefront of this transformation is Eslam Radwan, Co-Founder and Group CEO, who has emerged as the rebrand’s chief storyteller. Radwan consistently frames BUNA as a “one-stop shop” for construction and real estate services, fully integrated and aligned with Saudi Arabia’s strategic priorities.

STRATEGIC PARTNERSHIPS IS EVIDENCE OF INTENT

The timing of BUNA’s rebrand coincides with a period of visible expansion. The company is actively developing technical and sustainability partnerships while broadening its project portfolio.

This move is consistent with the new identity: BUNA as a holding company that delivers integrated solutions from planning and

engineering through construction, delivery, and long-term facilities management.

Such an approach is particularly relevant for Saudi Arabia’s giga-projects and complex urban developments, which demand accountability and coordination across multiple disciplines.

SUSTAINABILITY AT THE FOREFRONT

Sustainability threads through both the rebrand and the company’s public statements. By championing advanced building technologies and greener construction methods, BUNA is demonstrating its ability to reduce environmental impact while supporting Vision 2030’s focus on efficiency and responsible growth.

Eslam has been clear about the dual purpose: technical adoption that improves project delivery and a symbolic role in showcasing Saudi Arabia as a leader in sustainable construction innovation.

WHAT IT MEANS FOR CLIENTS AND THE MARKET

For clients, whether government entities, developers, or institutional investors the rebrand sends a clear message: BUNA is ready to partner at any stage of the project lifecycle, offering integrated, coordinated delivery.

For the broader market, the new identity is equally significant. It signals a readiness to engage with giga-projects, public infrastructure programs, and large-scale mixed-use developments, while ensuring governance, quality, and sustainability remain at the core.

MORE THAN A NEW LOOK

Ultimately, BUNA’s rebrand is not just cosmetic. It is a strategic effort to sharpen external perception, reflect the company’s evolving capabilities, and position it firmly within Saudi Arabia’s transformation story. For stakeholders watching the Kingdom’s fastpaced construction and real estate sectors, this rebrand underscores how domestic players like BUNA are stepping up with sophisticated, future-ready delivery models that embody both Saudi heritage and modern ambition.

PROVEN WAYS TO CUT CONSTRUCTION COSTS

FIVE PRACTICAL STRATEGIES SHAPING SAUDI ARABIA’S GIGA-PROJECTS.

s Saudi Arabia’s giga-projects such as NEOM, Qiddiya, and the Red Sea Project redefine the global construction landscape, efficient cost management has become as vital as visionary design. To meet the ambitious goals of Vision 2030, companies involved in these mega-developments are pioneering innovative strategies to maximize value while minimizing waste.

Here are the top five cost-saving strategies shaping construction in the Kingdom, along with the industry leaders helping drive them forward.

1. EMBRACE VALUE ENGINEERING EARLY

Companies like AECOM, a global infrastructure consulting firm, are working with NEOM to apply value engineering from the earliest design stages. By analyzing alternative systems and materials, AECOM helps ensure that futuristic urban developments balance high performance with cost efficiency without compromising sustainability or durability.

2.

OPTIMIZE DESIGN WITH TECHNOLOGY

At Qiddiya Investment Company, design consultants such as DAR Al-Handasah and engineering firm AtkinsRéalis are leveraging Building Information Modeling (BIM) to coordinate complex structures. BIM allows teams to anticipate clashes, reduce rework, and streamline construction, ultimately delivering massive entertainment and cultural facilities more efficiently.

3. ADOPT MODULAR AND PREFABRICATED SOLUTIONS

The Red Sea Global (RSG) development has embraced modular construction to minimize environmental disruption and accelerate project timelines. Partnering with companies like Katerra and Red Sea Modular, RSG is reducing reliance on on-site labor while ensuring high-quality finishes produced in controlled off-site facilities.

A AECOM applies value engineering for efficiency at NEOM

AtkinsRéalis and DAR use BIM to streamline Qiddiya design

4. SOURCE MATERIALS STRATEGICALLY

Saudi giga-projects also benefit from strategic procurement managed by leading contractors such as Saudi Binladin Group and Nesma & Partners. By negotiating bulk supply contracts for steel, cement, and advanced building systems, these companies secure cost savings, ensure consistency of materials, and mitigate supply chain risks.

Red Sea Global pioneers’ modular construction for efficiency

5. FOCUS ON LIFECYCLE COSTS, NOT JUST INITIAL SAVINGS

Companies like Arup and WSP Middle East play a key role in advising NEOM and Diriyah Gate projects on sustainable design. Their expertise in smart grids, energy-efficient systems, and resilient infrastructure ensures that cost savings extend beyond construction, lowering operational and maintenance expenses for decades to come.

Strategic procurement by Nesma & Partners secures cost savings

Together, these strategies showcase how global and local companies are reshaping construction economics in Saudi Arabia. By leveraging innovation, technology, and smart planning, they are proving that building for the future can be both visionary and cost-effective.

MODULAR CONSTRUCTION ACCELERATES IN SAUDI ARABIA

FASTER, SMARTER, AND MORE SUSTAINABLE SOLUTIONS ARE RESHAPING THE KINGDOM’S BUILDING SECTOR.

REDEFINING THE FUTURE OF BUILDING

In line with Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia is rapidly embracing modular construction, an innovative approach to building that emphasizes speed, efficiency, and environmental responsibility. From high-profile developments like NEOM to security installations and retail spaces, modular buildings are reshaping how the Kingdom constructs its future.

FASTER PROJECT DELIVERY, REDUCED DISRUPTION

Speed is one of modular construction’s biggest advantages. Projects can be completed 30–50% faster than traditional methods, helping developers and business owners meet aggressive timelines. With much of the construction process completed off-site in controlled environments, there’s less disruption on location, reducing downtime and accelerating time-to-market.

Modular construction cuts build times by half

For example, a typical modular retail unit or office structure can be fully assembled and operational within weeks instead of months, making it an ideal choice for projects requiring rapid deployment.

SIGNIFICANT COST SAVINGS

Labor and material efficiency make modular construction a cost-effective solution. Fewer workers are needed on-site, and weather-related delays are nearly eliminated. Additionally, modular construction reduces material waste and minimizes the need for rework due to quality control in factory settings.

This makes it particularly attractive in Saudi Arabia’s commercial sector, where demand for affordable, high-quality spaces continues to grow across retail, hospitality, and education.

SUSTAINABILITY SUPPORTS VISION 2030

Sustainability is a national priority, and modular construction aligns with the Kingdom’s green ambitions. The method consumes fewer raw materials, uses less energy, and generates lower levels of waste. Modules are often built using eco-friendly materials and can be disassembled and reused, contributing to a circular construction economy.

For large-scale developments such as The Red Sea Project, modular buildings are helping developers meet strict environmental targets while maintaining the high standards expected of luxury resorts and commercial assets.

VERSATILITY ACROSS SECTORS

Modular buildings in Saudi Arabia are being tailored to meet the needs of multiple industries:

 Healthcare: Clinics and mobile units built quickly to serve remote communities

 Education: Classrooms and dormitories installed on tight schedules with high quality control

 Retail: Pop-up shops, kiosks, and full retail units offering both flexibility and speed

The ability to customize layouts, finishes, and structural components gives architects and developers the freedom to adapt designs without compromising quality or speed.

MODULAR SECURITY SOLUTIONS

Security cabins, guardhouses, and access control stations are also increasingly built using modular methods. These structures are designed for durability, with options to incorporate bulletproof materials, surveillance systems, and climate control.

Their quick deployment and adaptability make them ideal for construction sites, gated communities, and major infrastructure projects.

TRANSFORMING THE CONSTRUCTION LANDSCAPE

The rise of modular construction is creating new dynamics within Saudi Arabia’s construction ecosystem:

 Construction companies are adopting modular approaches to stay competitive and meet demand.

 Architects and designers are exploring new creative boundaries, working with prefabricated elements that can still reflect custom aesthetics.

 Strategic partnerships between modular manufacturers and local developers are enhancing project delivery and knowledge sharing.

This collaborative approach is vital to delivering modular solutions that meet the high standards of the Kingdom’s evolving urban vision.

NOTEWORTHY PROJECTS & KEY PLAYERS

Some of the most iconic projects in Saudi Arabia have already integrated modular solutions:

 NEOM: The futuristic megacity has employed modular construction for temporary housing, office spaces, and logistics hubs as part of its early development phases.

MARKET GROWTH CONTEXTCOMPOUND ANNUAL GROWTH RATE

Total modular construction market: USD 833.5 M in 2024, expected to expand with 5–7% CAGR over 2025-2030

Prefabricated buildings (encompassing modular) estimated at USD 3.7 B in 2025, rising from USD 3.5 B in 2024

Secure, durable solutions for all industries

 The Red Sea Project: Prefabricated units have been used in staff accommodation and site offices, enabling rapid scaling of construction capacity.

 Retail Innovators: Firms such as Losberger De Boer and TSSC Group are offering modular retail, exhibition, and commercial spaces to clients across the Kingdom.

These successes demonstrate the scalability and potential of modular construction across different sectors.

MARKET OUTLOOK

The outlook is promising. Saudi Arabia’s modular construction market is projected to reach USD 1,365.3 million by 2033, growing at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 5.23% from 2025. Driving this growth are large infrastructure developments, smart city initiatives, and demand for sustainable, fast-track building solutions.

With these drivers in place, modular construction is positioned not as an alternative, but as a mainstream solution, for the next decade of building in Saudi Arabia.

MODULAR MOMENTUM IN SAUDI ARABIA

FACTORY-BUILT SOLUTIONS RESHAPE COST, SPEED, QUALITY, AND SUSTAINABILITY.

Modular construction where building components or full volumetric “modules” are manufactured in a factory and assembled on site, is moving from niche technique to mainstream delivery across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The drivers are clear: faster programs, better quality assurance, and measurably lower site impact. For developers racing to deliver giga-projects and social infrastructure, modular is no longer a novelty; it’s a strategic capability.

THE MODULAR ADVANTAGESPEED, QUALITY, SAVINGS

Globally, credible analyses show modular can compress end-to-end timelines by 20–50% and trim costs by approximately 20%, when executed at scale with an integrated designfor-manufacture approach. For developers, that time-certainty improves internal rates of return by bringing revenue forward and reducing risk exposure to weather, logistics, and site-based variability.

Quality is another cornerstone. Modules are built in climate-controlled factories with repeatable processes, calibrated equipment, and traceable QA/QC, then shipped for rapid assembly. That shift from field labor to line production reduces defects and rework and makes it easier to standardize details that are hard to police on a busy jobsite.

THE KSA MODULAR ECOSYSTEM - WHO’S DOING WHAT

Saudi Arabia’s ecosystem blends home-grown capacity with experienced GCC specialists:

Red Sea International (RSI) – A Saudi public joint-stock company delivering prefabricated and modular buildings across residential, commercial, and industrial sectors, including multi-level steel-frame systems aimed at rapid deployment without sacrificing code compliance.

Spacemaker KSA – Focused on rapid, sustainable modular solutions across the Kingdom and wider MENA.

Speed House Group – Long-standing GCC modular provider with recent partnerships to scale modular systems across the region, including rapid-erect event and hospitality assets tied to the Kingdom.

Al-Damegh and other local prefabrication firms – Supplying portable and multistorey education and social-infrastructure buildings for fast roll-outs.

LANDMARK AND NOTABLE MODULAR PROJECTS

NEOM construction and accommodation villages – RSI has awarded/secured modular building contracts supporting modern worker accommodation at NEOM, with large-scale modular camps delivered in compressed timeframes to house tens of thousands of staff.

Red Sea Global – Shebara Island – Installation of futuristic overwater pod-style villas underscores how precision-manufactured modules can reduce marine-site disturbance while achieving iconic design intent.

Riyadh’s SOUNDSTORM (event infrastructure) – A five-level VIB structure erected in under

a week demonstrates how modular excels for time-critical, high-spec installations.

AMANA/DuBox deliveries across KSA – From residential to social infrastructure, AMANA’s off-site solutions show proven throughput within the Kingdom, not just pilots.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT - FEWER TRUCK ROLLS, LESS WASTE, QUIETER SITES

Because 85%+ of activity can move off site, modular programs typically mean fewer deliveries, shorter on-site durations, and reduced disturbance to neighbors and sensitive environments. Factory settings optimize material utilization, generating far less waste than traditional stick-built methods, an advantage that is especially important on protected coastal and desert sites.

Volumetric concrete and steel modules boost durability

SAFETY AND COMPLIANCE

Safety performance improves when highrisk activities shift from busy jobsites to controlled factories with standardized processes, documented work instructions, and better ergonomics. Major insurers and OSH studies point to modular’s potential to reduce injuries and improve traceability, while still requiring disciplined lifting/transport planning and robust on-site assembly procedures. Put simply: modular changes the risk profile rather than eliminating it, and the net effect is typically positive when management systems are mature.

LIFESPAN AND DURABILITY

Modular is a method, not a compromise on structure. In Saudi Arabia, developers deploy volumetric concrete (DuBox) and multi-level steel-frame (RSI) systems designed to local codes and environmental loads. Properly engineered, installed, and maintained, these perform like conventional buildings, because they are conventional materials delivered by industrialized means. Fit-out cycles, not frames, often govern refurbishment timelines.

Red Sea and NEOM accelerate off-site adoption

Controlled factory settings enhance safety and quality

COST EFFECTIVENESS IN THE KINGDOM

At scale, modular can reduce total delivered cost by approximately 20% through shorter programs (less prelims and finance carry), direct procurement, factory-level waste reduction, and repeatable design. In KSA, those levers are amplified by giga-project pipelines that justify permanent factories, standardized typologies, and logistics corridors, key preconditions for achieving the full cost and schedule upside.

WHY IT’S POPULAR NOW

Saudi Arabia’s construction program spanning NEOM, Red Sea Global, AMAALA, Qiddiya, and surging social infrastructure—demands speed, certainty, and sustainability. Modular delivers on all three, enabling parallel manufacturing and siteworks, consistent quality, and lighter environmental footprints. With local champions (RSI, AMANA/DuBox, Spacemaker) and GCC specialists (Speed House) investing in capacity and productization, modular is aligned with Vision 2030’s industrialization and localization goals and it’s here to stay.

alk through the bustling arrivals hall of Dubai International or Riyadh’s new King Khalid Terminal, and you can feel it, the Middle East’s tourism sector is abuzz, priming the hospitality segment for a historic moment. Leisure and business travel are booming, fuelled by government backed tourism strategies, global events, and a surge in regional affluence. Saudi Arabia alone aims to welcome 150 million visitors annually by 2030, while the UAE continues to break records for hotel occupancy and luxury development.

This growth is a tremendous opportunity for hotel developers, but one that comes with an equally tremendous challenge supply. To meet the region’s ambitious tourism targets, tens of thousands of new hotel rooms must come online, and fast. Yet, as any developer will tell you, building a hotel the traditional way is rarely fast.

Modular construction accelerates delivery without compromising luxury.

WHY THE CLOCK IS TICKING

The typical construction timeline for a mid scale hotel in the Middle East stretches several years, even longer for resorts in remote or challenging environments. Delays are not unusual; weather extremes can halt work for weeks at a time, supply chain disruptions slow the delivery of materials, and skilled labour shortages complicate staffing.

That’s not to say traditional construction doesn’t still have a place. Iconic projects such as the Wynn resort in Ras Al Khaimah will rightly showcase the craftsmanship and grandeur achievable with conventional methods. But not every hotel can, or should, take that route, especially when the priority is getting operational quickly

Factory-built rooms reduce waste by up to 90%.

without compromising guest experience.

It’s clear the industry needs to explore new paradigms. Among these, modular construction is proving to be one of the most promising.

BUILT FOR REPEATABILITY, BUILT FOR SPEED

Modular construction lends itself perfectly to the hospitality sector’s need of the hour because hotels inherently thrive on repeatability. A hotel’s guest rooms, villas, or serviced apartments are designed as uniform, self contained spaces. Why wait to build them one by one on site when

they can be manufactured to exacting standards in a controlled environment and delivered ready for installation?

That’s the philosophy driving the work of modular construction pioneers in the Middle East. At LINQ for example, we’ve invested heavily in a 300,000 sq. ft. state of the art manufacturing facility capable of producing up to 1,900 fully fitted luxury rooms per year. By fabricating rooms in a factory, we eliminate the weather delays and logistical bottlenecks that plague conventional builds. Materials arrive through reliable supply chains, assembly

 BASHAR KAYALI, MANAGING DIRECTOR OF ALEC SOLUTIONS

is handled by trained teams on a production line, and the result is higher precision, higher consistency, and much faster timelines.

On site, the process becomes more about assembly than construction. This then requires fewer highly skilled workers, less time, and fewer opportunities for error. And it’s not just about speed.

SUSTAINABILITY, COMFORT, AND QUALITY

Today’s guests are more eco conscious than ever, and sustainability has become a defining feature of luxury brands. Here again, modular construction shines. A study by the Waste & Resources Action Programme shows that factory built modules can generate up to 90% less waste compared to traditional construction. By minimising the use of concrete, one of the most carbon intensive materials, and maximising recyclable steel, the environmental footprint is dramatically reduced.

And guests benefit directly. The advanced insulation and lightweight cellular concrete LINQ incorporates into every room don’t just cut emissions, they improve thermal comfort, keeping rooms cooler with less energy. They also deliver superior acoustic performance, ensuring guests enjoy the quiet retreat they expect when they close the door behind them.

Far from a compromise, modular construction allows hotels to deliver on two of hospitality’s core promises: comfort and sustainability.

FIT FOR BOUTIQUE, READY FOR SCALE

One of the Middle East’s most dynamic growth areas is boutique hotels - smaller, distinctive properties that cater to niche markets and discerning travellers. Globally, the boutique hotel sector is gaining momentum, valued at US$25 billion in 2023 and projected to exceed US$40.3 billion by 2030, according to Grand View Research. For this fastest growing segment in the GCC, modular construction is particularly well suited.

At LINQ, we’re proud to have been the first company to secure a modular construction licence from Dubai Municipality to pioneer fully modular Ground+6 developments. Government support for innovation in this space gives developers confidence that modular can meet the region’s ambitious standards.

Boutique hotels thrive with modular scalability and precision.

It’s also worth noting that every modular project we deliver is designed in BIM from day one. That means every dimension, every connection, and every element is planned digitally, optimising design and eliminating clashes. And when we hand over a project, the facilities management team receives a full digital twin of the property, enabling proactive maintenance and minimal disruption to guests.

For the largest and most complex projects, modular still plays a valuable role, particularly when it comes to MEP (mechanical, electrical,

plumbing) systems. Modular MEP allows entire plant rooms, risers, and distribution systems to be prefabricated off site and installed quickly, saving time and reducing risk without altering the building’s overall architectural vision.

SEEING IS BELIEVING

We’ve already seen what modular can deliver at scale. At Sindalah, Saudi Arabia’s iconic island destination, LINQ delivered 218 serviced apartments with luxury finishes using the modular approach. The result: a world class guest experience, completed on a timeline that would have been unthinkable using traditional methods alone.

It’s no wonder then that hospitality brands across the region are taking note and no longer seeing modular as an experiment. It’s increasingly being recognised as a smarter, more sustainable way to build.

Faster builds, lower carbon footprint, superior guest comfort.

THE MOMENT IS NOW

Modular construction doesn’t just save time. It elevates standards, reduces environmental impact, and ensures guests enjoy the comfort and quality they expect from a premium experience.

The Middle East’s hospitality industry is at a tipping point. The next decade offers a rare opportunity to redefine what’s possible. But this is only if we embrace the solutions that allow us to deliver at the pace the market demands.

NEW MURABBA’S NEXT CHAPTER

FACTORY-BUILT SOLUTIONS RESHAPE COST, SPEED, QUALITY, AND SUSTAINABILITY.

s Editor of Saudi Projects Digital Magazine, I’m pleased to share a deeper dive into the forces shaping New Murabba, Riyadh’s modern downtown powered by the Public Investment Fund (PIF). Beyond headline-grabbing renders, the district is now defined by concrete progress on site, world-class architectural and experiencedesign partners, and a tightening technology and governance framework that positions the project for delivery under Vision 2030.

ARCHITECTURAL & EXPERIENCE PARTNERS

New Murabba Development Company (NMDC) has appointed Arup as lead designer for the New Murabba Stadium, a signature multi-use venue planned as part of the wider district. Arup’s scope spans design, advisory, planning, and operational optimization, aligning the stadium with leading sustainability and smart-operations practices. External reporting places capacity at about 45,000 seats.

For the Mukaab, the 400m x 400m x 400m centerpiece, NMDC signed a long-term strategic agreement with Falcon’s Creative Group to craft the building’s immersive experiences, signaling a destination built on narrative, media, and large-format themed innovation rather than structure alone. The agreement was announced after major enabling works on site.

TECHNOLOGY STACK & MOBILITY INSIDE THE ICON

In July 2025, ALAT (a PIF company) and NMDC signed an MoU to integrate advanced technology solutions for the Mukaab and broader district covering smart mobility, next-generation vertical transportation (elevators/escalators), and potential localization of hardware production and R&D in the Kingdom. This partnership strengthens the project’s “smart city” backbone while aligning with national industrial goals.

At district level, New Murabba’s own materials emphasize AI-enabled urban management, open-data approaches, and low-carbon infrastructure across energy, recycling, and waste systems, translating

ALAT–NMDC MoU advances smart mobility and logistics

“smart” into operational efficiency and resident experience rather than a label. The master plan calls for 25% green space integrated with wadis and micro-mobility, supporting walkability and heat-mitigation.

GOVERNANCE & DELIVERY READINESS

In August 2025, NMDC achieved ISO 31022:2020 certification for legal risk management, signaling institutional maturity in compliance, control frameworks, and risk governance, the kind of backoffice rigor that de-risks procurement, contracting, and partner management across a multi-billion-dollar pipeline.

PROGRESS ON THE GROUND

NMDC reports the completion of excavation at the Mukaab site with over 14 million

cubic meters of earth removed, an enabling milestone that moves the project from groundworks toward structural phases. These works underpin the forthcoming architecture and systems integration noted above.

INVESTMENT, COST & OBJECTIVES

New Murabba is a PIF-backed giga-project designed to catalyze non-oil growth, attract global firms, and deliver a high-amenity, 15-minute urban environment. The New Murabba project is estimated to be worth around $50 billion in total investment. The Mukaab remains targeted for delivery by 2030, in line with the Vision 2030 horizon; district build-out will phase with market demand and major-event timelines. reductions alongside schedule and cost.

LEADING IN A B4B AND P4P WORLD

THE FUTURE WON’T BELONG TO BOSSES, IT WILL BELONG TO BUILDERS OF TRUST.

GS is rewriting the rules of leadership in construction and industrial services. In a region where transformation under Vision 2030 is reshaping industries, RGS is leading the charge with a Businessfor-Business (B4B) model powered by a People-for-People (P4P) philosophy.

Leadership has always been about vision and the ability to inspire. But in today’s interconnected world where industries are shaped by collaboration, sustainability, and transformation, true leadership demands more. It’s no longer about hierarchy or titles. It’s about partnership, empathy, and the courage to put people first.

This is the essence of the B4B (Businessfor-Business) framework and the P4P (People-for-People) philosophy: moving beyond transactions to create ecosystems of trust, empowerment, and shared value.

FROM TRANSACTIONS TO TRANSFORMATIONS

Traditional B2B models treat clients as customers, measured by cost control and margins. Leaders in this model succeed by delivering efficiency.

B4B shifts that mindset. It is not about selling services; it’s about co-creating prosperity. Leaders stand beside clients, not above them. Their role is to identify challenges, align on shared goals, and clear obstacles so both sides can thrive.

Take an industrial services company that accepts low-margin maintenance work to support a partner’s larger operational cycle. That choice reflects vision and empathy, placing trust and continuity above short-term profit, knowing opportunities will multiply.

PEOPLE-FOR-PEOPLE:

THE HEART OF LEADERSHIP

If B4B provides the framework, P4P gives leadership its heartbeat. At RGS, the P4P philosophy draws from the timeless wisdom of Ali Ibn Abi Talib (AS):

“Never look down upon someone unless you are giving them a hand up.”

“Leadership today isn’t about standing at the top, it’s about standing at the center,” says Ash T. Arshad, CEO of RGS. “By putting people first and building trust, we’re shaping ecosystems where everyone thrives.”

This principle turns leadership into service.

It means ensuring employees, subcontractors, and suppliers feel empowered and valued.

A scaffold erector or insulation installer who feels respected is more likely to work with care and pride. P4P leaders know that human dignity and business results go hand in hand. By lifting people, they elevate the entire organization.

THE DUAL LENS OF LEADERSHIP

Together, B4B and P4P create a dual lens by balancing the brain and the heart:

 Vision and Empathy: Seeing the big picture while understanding human challenges.

 Purposeful Partnerships: Measuring success by shared value, not just profit.

 Empowerment at Every Level: Inspiring even front-line workers to see their role in the larger mission.

 Sustainable Relationships: Prioritizing long-term trust over short-term gain.

 This is leadership as connection, not command; as advocacy, not authority.

LEADERSHIP IN ACTION

 In practice, leading in a B4B and P4P world means:

 Open Communication: Being transparent about risks and opportunities.

 Shared Responsibility: Treating projects as joint endeavors, not “us vs. them.”

 Investment in People: Creating training, mentorship, and career pathways.

 Leading by Example: Showing integrity in safety, fairness, and commitments.

 In industries where trust is fragile, credibility becomes the true currency of leadership.

THE ROAD AHEAD

As industries embrace sustainability, digital transformation, and national visions like Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030, this kind of leadership will only grow in demand. Leaders must balance automation with human potential, efficiency with empathy, and growth with accountability.

The B4B and P4P frameworks offer a clear roadmap: reminding us that businesses cannot thrive alone, and people are not resources, they are partners in progress.

In the world of B4B and P4P, being a leader doesn’t mean standing at the top, it means standing at the center. It’s about creating value, nurturing relationships, and lifting others as you climb.

Such leaders don’t just achieve results; they inspire transformation. They build trust, unlock potential, and create ecosystems where everyone succeeds. And in doing so, they shape the future—not alone, but together.

“The leaders of tomorrow won’t command from above, they will connect from the center.”
“In industries where trust is fragile, credibility becomes the true currency of leadership.”

The showcase at Azure Lamara, one of Riyadh’s largest newly developed residential compounds, highlighted LG’s vision for connected living through its ThinQ AI platform. “This event reaffirms LG’s role not only as a technology provider but also as a thought leader and strategic partner in Saudi Arabia’s residential and business transformation,” said Mr. Sunny Kim, Managing Director of LG Saudi Arabia.

SHAPING SMART CITIES THROUGH AV INNOVATION

RHINE INDUSTRIES DISCUSSES AV’S ROLE IN SAUDI ARABIA’S URBAN FUTURE.

In this exclusive Saudi Projects interview, John Joseph, Director of Sales at Blue Rhine Industries, shares insights on the evolving role of audiovisual (AV) technology in smart cities.

With Saudi Arabia driving rapid urban development under Vision 2030, Joseph outlines how AV is transforming communication, sustainability, and operational efficiency. From integrated LED video walls to immersive digital ecosystems, AV technology is no longer just a tool—it is the interface that connects citizens, businesses, and governments in tomorrow’s cognitive cities.

SAUDI PROJECTS: How do you see AV technology shaping the way we live and work in the smart cities of tomorrow?

JOHN JOSEPH: AV is now the critical interface of the smart city. It's the system that turns complex data into immediate, human-friendly communication. In the massive, new urban centers across Saudi Arabia, this means true situational awareness. It’s the dynamic guidance that helps a visitor navigate a financial district, or the real-time visualization that allows an operator to manage city services from a single command center. We're deploying integrated LED video walls and immersive digital networks that are smart, scalable, and instantly responsive. This moves the city from being a collection of buildings to being a cognitive environment (a place that anticipates and acts on citizen needs).

SAUDI PROJECTS: How is Blue Rhine Industries collaborating with government entities and businesses to accelerate AV adoption in Saudi Arabia?

JOHN JOSEPH: The sheer scale and pace of development in the Kingdom requires more

than a typical vendor relationship. We need to be a strategic local partner. BRI works directly with government and development entities to co-design AV architecture that is built to last. Our commitment here is end-to-end; we handle everything, from initial consulting to in-house manufacturing, complex system integration, and long-term maintenance. This local, accountable capability is key. It ensures that our AV deployments, regardless of their size or technical complexity, align perfectly with Vision 2030's ambitious timelines and world-class quality requirements.

SAUDI PROJECTS: What role will AV play in supporting sustainability and smarter energy use within urban environments?

JOHN JOSEPH: AV is a powerful driver for sustainability, both directly and indirectly. Directly, we champion energy efficiency. Our use of the latest low-power LED technology significantly reduces consumption for large displays and extends their product life, minimizing e-waste. But the larger impact is in system optimization. By integrating our displays with Building Management Systems, we enable real-time visualization of energy data. This transparency allows facility managers to make instant, datadriven decisions on everything from climate control to power load management. Every smart screen we deploy contributes to a smarter, more responsible, and more energy-efficient urban environment.

SEEING PROGRESS COME TO LIFE

TRANSFORMING PROJECTS AND EVENTS INTO VIVID, SHAREABLE STORIES.

pectrum Lens ME is building a reputation across Saudi Arabia for turning complex projects into clear, compelling visuals that anyone can understand. From longterm construction timelapse to architectural photography, corporate portraiture, and event videography, the team’s focus is simple! Show real progress, tell the right story, and deliver assets that work across websites, social, and stakeholder reports.

S Visual proof that stakeholders understand instantly

Founded by Co-Founder Eng. Waseem Asmar, an award-winning photographer and recognized CXO Emerging Leader, Spectrum Lens blends creative direction with rigorous project discipline. That mix shows up in the company’s specialist time-lapse division, where solar-powered rigs, resilient power options, and cloud connectivity keep cameras running and clients informed over months and years, not just days.

What makes their approach stand out is the way they connect the dots between documentation and impact. A timelapse is never just a cool video. It is a timeline of proof that captures milestones, de-risks communication with stakeholders, and gives marketing teams a steady stream of on-brand content. For real estate, infrastructure, and industrial clients, that clarity can be the difference between “work in progress” and “progress you can see.”

COMPREHENSIVE EVENT COVERAGE, SIZED TO FIT

Spectrum Lens has also rolled out a tiered series of event coverage packages designed for everything from focused briefings to large-scale exhibitions.

Here’s how they break down:

 Basic Package Essential photography and video coverage for smaller gatherings. Clean highlights, professional edits, and quick turnarounds to share fast.

 Advanced Package Ideal for mid-size exhibitions. Adds deeper shot lists, more deliverables, and multi-camera support for better variety and coverage.

Reliable systems that keep shooting for months

 Supreme Package Built for major events. Enhanced crew, on-site direction, and expanded outputs, including reels and short-form edits optimized for social.

 Spectrum Package The flagship option for high-profile shows. End-to-end planning, content strategy support, and extensive visual documentation across channels.

Across all tiers, the goal is the same! Capture the energy in the room, the people who make it happen, and the ideas worth sharing, then deliver assets that extend the life of the event long after the doors close.

LONG-TERM TIMELAPSE WITH REAL-WORLD RELIABILITY

On construction and capital projects, Spectrum Lens designs each timelapse system around site realities. Their toolkit includes compact solar arrays, AC redundancy, and high-capacity weather proofing batteries, all to ensure that the professional installed camera with professional lens will keep capturing super quality photos to be checked, downloaded and generated in 4K timelapse videos. With cloud features for remote monitoring and asset management, clients can check angles, confirm uptime, and receive progress cuts at agreed milestones. It’s a practical, field-tested setup that keeps the story moving even when conditions are tough.

Timelines that turn into high-value marketing assets

ARCHITECTURE, CORPORATE, AND DOCUMENTARY WORK

Beyond timelapse, the studio’s portfolio spans architectural exteriors and interiors, corporate photography, and documentarystyle video for brand films and stakeholder updates. The common thread is editorial intent: each frame is built to communicate purpose, place, and progress, not just aesthetics.

If you are planning a project, exhibition, or corporate launch and need visuals that show progress with clarity and intent, Spectrum Lens is ready to help.

NEOM BEYOND THE FUTURISTIC VISION

REIMAGINING LIVABILITY, SUSTAINABLE BUSINESS, AND CONSERVATION IN SAUDI ARABIA.

NEOM is more than a megaproject, it’s Saudi Arabia’s bold experiment in how a city can function differently. In framing NEOM’s narrative, the developers speak in three compelling pillars: livability, business, and conservation. Across its many sectors and regions, they aim to prove that growth doesn’t have to come at nature’s expense, and that human well-being and the economy can evolve together.

REDEFINING LIVABILITY

At NEOM, the ambition is to build a place people actually want to live in, not just work in. The flagship concept, THE LINE, for example, is designed to tackle urban problems like traffic, pollution, and disconnection. It aims to do that by housing residents in a vertical, walkable format, powered entirely by renewable energy. “THE LINE will tackle the challenges facing humanity in urban life today and will shine a light on alternative ways to live,” the project states.

Inside NEOM, advanced mobility systems, smart infrastructure, and proximity to nature are emphasized. The idea is to compress daily needs from work, leisure, education into compact zones to reduce commuting and maximize walkability.

Urban design that rethinks daily life

In parallel, social responsibility is kept front of mind. NEOM publishes social impact reports and promotes local community development as part of its model for a sustainable society.

REINVENTING BUSINESS

NEOM doesn’t treat business as a side benefit, it puts industry, innovation, and services at the heart of its value proposition. It is building an ecosystem built around 15 sectors that range from biotech and energy to tourism and media.

The Oxagon region, for example, is intended to be a high-tech industrial hub floating on the Red Sea, powered by clean energy and smart manufacturing systems.

The aim is to drive diversified economic growth, reduce dependence on oil, and create global-scale, future-driven businesses anchored in NEOM.

CONSERVATION AT THE CORE

One of the most distinctive promises of NEOM is its commitment to preserving nature even as development proceeds. The project states that 95 percent of its land use around natural areas will be protected, emphasizing harmony between built and natural landscapes.

A 15-sector innovation ecosystem in motion

Construction practices are being guided by circular systems, sustainable materials, and low-impact designs. NEOM acknowledges that the construction industry is a major greenhouse gas source, and it intends to push toward more climate-conscious methods.

Part of this conservation focus also emerges through flagship regions like Magna, a coastal region which the NEOM leadership describes as aligned with its “three pillars of redefining business, conservation, and livability.”

VISION IN PRACTICE

Putting ambition into practice is never simple. The NEOM team brands the project as redefining the way sector’s function, from energy to design to mobility.

They also emphasize that the megacity is intended to be a “storybook” in action, bridging human-centric design, sustainable engineering, and environmental protection.

Beyond the high concept, NEOM is fiscally and operationally tied to Vision 2030, Saudi Arabia’s strategic plan to diversify its economy.

Still, there are challenges. Economic pressures, logistical complexities, and questions about scale and timeline are part of the project’s journey. But in positioning itself at the intersection of livability, business innovation, and environmental care, NEOM may well become one of the most closely watched experiments in 21st-century urbanism.

QIDDIYA CITY CONFIRMED TO HOST INAUGURAL FIA

EXTREME H WORLD CUP

WORLD’S FIRST CITY BUILT ENTIRELY FOR PLAY, WHERE ENTERTAINMENT, SPORT, AND CULTURE CONVERGE.

The FIA Extreme H World Cup, the world’s first hydrogen-powered motorsport, has today confirmed Qiddiya City, Saudi Arabia, as the host location for its first event, taking place from 9 to 11 October, 2025.

Qiddiya City is the world’s first city built entirely for play, where entertainment, sport, and culture converge. The race will take place with the dramatic backdrop of the Tuwaiq Mountains, close to the site which is currently undergoing transformation to become a world-leading motorsport venue.

Alejandro Agag, Founder and Chairman of Extreme H, said: “Qiddiya City is the ideal launchpad for the FIA Extreme H World Cup, a new frontier for motorsport that embodies purpose, innovation and entertainment.

“More than just a race venue, it’s a statement of intent. A visually stunning, technologically ambitious location that sets the tone for a new era of motorsport. We are proud to showcase the power of hydrogen and sustainable technology.”

Extreme H’s inaugural event in Qiddiya City marks a major milestone in its evolution and aligns with Saudi Arabia’s bold motorsport ambitions. The racing will take place in a specially designed off-road location and will form part of Qiddiya City’s broader vision to become a global hub for motorsport, innovation, and entertainment.

At the heart of this vision is the newly unveiled Speed Park Track, a cutting-edge circuit. Though not the site for Extreme H’s debut, the track symbolises Qiddiya City’s commitment to world-class motorsport, with dramatic elevation changes, iconic features like the 20-storey “Blade” turn, and integration with entertainment landmarks such as its new Six Flags Qiddiya City and Aquarabia. Together, Extreme H’s pioneering hydrogen platform and Qiddiya City’s motorsport infrastructure reflect a shared ambition: to redefine the future of racing through technology, spectacle, and sustainability.

Eng.

Mansour Almokbel, CEO of Saudi Motorsport Company: “Hosting the Final Lap of Extreme E in Saudi Arabia marks a powerful moment; celebrating five years of innovation, impact, and truly boundary pushing racing. This series has redefined sustainable motorsport, capture global attention, and showcased our stunning landscapes to millions around the world.

Abdullah AlDawood, Managing Director of Qiddiya Investment Company, said: “Qiddiya City is envisioned not just as a destination for play, but as an example of contemporary, sustainable urban planning and design. Hosting the inaugural FIA Extreme H World Cup underscores our commitment to showcasing sustainable motorsport while positioning Saudi Arabia as a global hub for future-focused experiences.”

“We look forward to welcoming the world to witness this next chapter in racing.”

The FIA Extreme H World Cup and Qiddiya City share a joint vision when it comes to sustainability standards, making the city an ideal location for Extreme H’s mission to deliver purpose-driven sport and clean mobility solutions.

The city aims to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2060, with initiatives that include 100% wastewater reuse, renewable energy infrastructure, and EV charging in 80% of parking spaces. A major tree planting focus is also central to plans, as part of the city’s commitment to the Saudi Green Initiative, which has a broader national goal of planting 10 billion trees in Saudi Arabia by 2030 to combat desertification, improve air quality, and enhance biodiversity.

Racing will kick off with a ‘final fling’ Extreme E Desert X Prix taking place on Saturday 4th and Sunday 5th October, providing an official conclusion to the previous championship, before the baton is officially handed over to start Extreme H on Thursday 9 to 11 October.

Explaining, Alejandro Agag added: “Extreme H’s first event will also host the final Extreme E race. Designed to provide a fitting conclusion for Extreme E, celebrating everything it achieved, where it all first started, before we officially make the transition to the new era of hydrogen with Extreme H. Our full story, double the racing action.”

“As we

mark this finale,

our focus is firmly

on

the future.

The launch of Extreme H

signals

the next bold chapter in racing, and Saudi Arabia is proud to be playing a central role in shaping where the sport is headed. These milestone events reflect our ambition to be a global home for pioneering motorsport, driving progress, sustainability, and the spirit of innovation.”

Diriyah Company has unveiled a landmark partnership with Majid Al Futtaim Holding, a leading force in retail, leisure, and community development across the Middle East, Africa, and Central Asia. The agreement introduces a state-ofthe-art VOX Cinemas multiplex and seven premier retail brands to Diriyah Square, setting a new benchmark for premium lifestyle experiences in Saudi Arabia.

Majid Al Futtaim Holding becomes the first major lifestyle and entertainment partner at Diriyah Square, bringing a curated mix of fashion, home furnishings, and beauty brands to the heart of the destination. The lifestyle retail outlets will occupy approximately 5,534 sqm, while the VOX Cinemas will span 7,633 sqm, totaling 13,167 sqm of dynamic leisure and retail space.

The partnership heralds several brand firsts for Saudi Arabia, including the first standalone Shiseido store, along with flagship locations for lululemon, Crate & Barrel, and Abercrombie & Fitch.

The mix also includes AllSaints, CB2, and Hollister, further enhancing the project’s appeal as a global retail hub.

The agreement was formalized at Diriyah Company’s headquarters by Jerry Inzerillo, Group CEO of Diriyah Company, and Ahmed Galal Ismail, CEO of Majid Al Futtaim Holding, in the presence of senior executives from both organizations.

“We are enormously proud to partner with Majid Al Futtaim, one of the region’s giants in lifestyle and entertainment,” said Jerry Inzerillo. “Their exceptional portfolio of brands reflects the confidence the global retail community has in our vision for Diriyah Square—a destination of discovery and delight.”

Ahmed Galal Ismail added, “Diriyah is poised to become a global beacon of culture, heritage, and innovation. This partnership underscores our commitment to enriching everyday life through exceptional retail and entertainment experiences, fully aligned with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.”

Diriyah Square will connect world-class global brands with authentic Saudi luxury concepts in a pedestrian-first precinct that blends culture, leisure, and entertainment.

Once completed, it will host over 400 leading retail brands, luxury boutiques, and dining concepts, becoming a signature destination for residents and visitors alike.

The announcement follows the recent $600 million (SAR 2.249 billion) construction contract awarded to Salini Saudi Arabia Co. Ltd. for the development of Diriyah Square, which will include one of the world’s largest underground parking facilities with more than 10,500 spaces.

As a key pillar of Saudi Vision 2030, the broader Diriyah development is projected to contribute $18.6 billion (SAR 70 billion) to the national

GDP, create 180,000 jobs, and provide homes for 100,000 residents upon completion— solidifying its role as a cornerstone of Saudi Arabia’s urban and cultural transformation.
