The Town of Fox Creek is trying something new in 2018 for business license renewals. Recently, a letter and questionnaire was sent to all current business license holders. The information obtained from the questionnaire will be used to help us advertise your business on our website so that residents, and industry, have a better understanding of what your business has to offer them. It will also assist the Town by letting us know what businesses need to be recruited to our community and benefit us by having the most up-todate information on your business license certificate. We will renew business licenses for the businesses that return the completed form to us. Please note that if you do not return the form you will have to reapply for your business license for 2018, and remember operating without a business license can result in fines starting at $500.00. Please contact Cindy Nielson at 780.622.3896 ext. 221 or email cindy@foxcreek.ca if you have any questions or concerns.

The Works department is eagerly awaiting g delivery of our new snow plow. The truck is being outfitted witth a front plow, belly plow and a sander unit. This will be a very y welcome addition to our fleet. Residents are advised to be cautious aroun nd the ice. Places like our storm pond on Kaybob Drive and sewa age lagoons are notorious for inconsistent ice thickness due to o constant movement of water. Please warn children about the dangers of natural ice. Remember that ice needs to be a minimum m of 10cm for people, 15cm for snowmobiles or quads, 25cm fo or cars and 30cm for pickup trucks. Never trust cloudy or milky looking ice, ice should appear clear and dark. The snowmobile routes in town have ha ad extensive maintenance performed this year. The town has worked with AEP and n of the trail leading Northland Sno-Goers to relocate a portion out of Town, adjacent to the Public Works Yard. Please stick to the new trail and avoid the new developme ents on 3 Street East.
