Fox Creek Interagency

The Fox Creek Interagency is a collaboration of human service agencies within the community; promoting the free exchange of information through participation among members with common goals. We aim to enhance communication and work together to better serve the Community.

Interagency Meetings are held on the 3rd Thursday of every second month, with a light lunch served. (January, March, May, September, November)

The Fox Creek Food Bank has been serving our community for over 20 years. The Food Bank operates on donations of food, money, and Freson Bros. stamps. The Food Bank is housed at the Community Resource Centre, located at 304A - 4 Avenue. 

  

Guidelines: You can call for a Food Hamper on any day during the week; however hampers are prepared only on Tuesdays and Thursdays. All orders must be received before noon on those days for same day pick-up. You must call ahead as we have a limited amount of food onsite. Families can access our Food Bank up to 4 times per year, but no more than once per calendar month. Identification must be presented for each family member at every visit.

VOLUNTEER DRIVER Medical Transport Program

The purpose of the Volunteer Driver – Medical Transport Program is to assist Seniors and individuals with disabilities with transportation for out-of-town medical appointments in Whitecourt, Valleyview, Grande Prairie or Edmonton. As a volunteer driver, you will use your own vehicle, but will be reimbursed with a gift card to offset fuel and meal costs. Call the CRC for an application form and other details (780-622-3758). AS A VOLUNTEER FOR THESE PROGRAMS, YOU WILL MAKE A HUGE DIFFERENCE IN OUR COMMUNITY AND IN THE LIVES OF OTHERS – THANK YOU!

GRANTS TO COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) assists non-profit community organizations with funding grants to enhance the social well-being of individuals and families through promotion or intervention strategies provided at the earliest opportunity. Projects, services and initiatives that support, educate, build awareness, develop leadership skills, strengthen family life and promote volunteerism are eligible for funding requests. Funding is limited and priority will be given to groups whose request best meets the FCSS mandate.
