Senior Jack Stewart recently earned the rank of Eagle Scout after building and installing a Story Book Walk at his former school, Claymont Elementary. Located on the north side of the school, it encourages students and teachers to create lessons, programs and stories of their own. Stewart is an honor student, swimmer and water polo player, and he plans to major in biology and pre-med studies in college.

Children’s author John Green, a 1970s alumnus, paid a virtual visit to students at the school along with his first-grade teacher, Christine Williams, now an Emmy-winning ABC News executive producer. They read two of Green’s books, Dream Jumper and Dream Grabber, and talked about their career paths. Copies of the books were given to students and Ladue School District elementary libraries.

Megan Gerberding was named 2020 Outstanding Assistant Principal of the Year by the St. Louis Suburban Elementary Principals Association. The program recognizes elementary administrators who demonstrate exemplary leadership and dedication to student success.
